And they still have the original Prom Night. BAH. That's why I made a petition (see my signature).

^ It's DVD. And knowing Echo Bridge, it's probably 5 movies crammed onto 1 DVD. But it doesn't street until July, so I can't say for sure.

I love the Amazon description. 5 classic horror films starring Jaime Lee Curtis! Halloween 6 and Prom Night 2 don't even have her in it!

Well, my second copy of Halloween III from BestBuy.com came without a slip also. If these aren't limited, then why's this happening?

Second copy has lots of plastic bits loose inside and the disc loose. I know which one I'm returning. :lol

I seriously hope Echo Bridge didn't get ahold of any other MGM titles. Talk about a buzzkill...

(How hilariously twisted would it be, if EB landed Scanners?? )

Some retailers actually remove the slip...why I don't really know but it is pretty lame of them.

OK, now I'm worried. How did this flea market label get Prom Night II? And why are they even bothering with it if all they're going to do is cram it in with 4 other films (which they have already released countless times ) on a dying format?

That would be pretty cruel considering Criterion has hinted Scanners is with them

If there is one good thing about this, any silver lining at all, this might allow both films to make the leap to blu in a double feature.

That banner at the top should read -

"The Ultimate in poor quality"

Yes, MGM's rights expired

the rights to MARY LOU went back to the owner... who evidently owns the first film. I wouldn't worry about Echo getting any other MGM films.

It's just that MGM's rights on MARY LOU expired.

At least MGM released a fairly solid DVD of Hello Mary Lou before Echo Bridge got it. Of the Prom Night series, Hello Mary Lou has gotten the best DVD treatment.

Prom Night III and IV are the ones in dire need of an upgrade.

An Echo Bridge blu-ray is pretty much the same as a DVD. Actually, in the audio department, it's usually a downgrade.

Regardless, I don't see this happening.

Also, not sure if this has been mentioned here, but Echo Bridge also recently released the 1972 made-for-TV movie Home For The Holidays, crammed into one of their multi-movie packs. So there's another one down the drain.

that makes me feel a little bit better about the whole situation.
I doubt you guys will get any of the Prom Night films any time soon,

but, Have you been in contact with the distributors of Curtians directly, they might be able to help more so than Echo Bridge.

I'm beginning to think that the next two titles that Scream! will announce are Army of Darkness and The 'burbs...
Yay for me in that case. They are two of my favorites...
