Any magnets, coasters, t-shirts, or other fun incentives this year? Those golden years of getting magnets and coasters were awesome.

The remake I hear is pretty good too one of the better horror remakes so I’m excited to watch it next week for the first time ever.

The same goes for Cat's Eye, which Shout did not publicly confirm having but was strongly rumored to be coming from them in BD/4k.

You mean the really bad Studio Canal 4K which isn't very good, and is considered one of the worst 4K restorations ever right? I hope they just do their own 4K restoration as that would be a way better idea. I think Shout! Factory should just do a Blu-Ray no offense as going with that bad 4K restoration is a terrible idea. I really hope they just end up doing a Blu-Ray of the film.

Have been discussing doing something like that for Shocktober this year.

BUT, there will still be a few incentives during next week's sale.

@Shout, any plans for a Tales From The Crypt Demon Knight 4k release? Been really wanting that upgrade, thank you.

Anymore new to Blu-Ray titles coming like some new to Blu-Ray Dolph Lundgren stuff, and the Carnosaur films?

Also possibly a re-release of Chuck Norris’s an Eye for an Eye which was previously released by Kino on Blu-Ray?

I’m also hoping for some new to Blu-Ray Sony titles like say Blankman, Jakob the Liar, and Extreme Justice. I really want Blankman on Blu-Ray so bad it’s incredibly underrated it deserves way way better.

Shoutfactoryofficial, any possibility of House on Haunted Hill (1999) and House of Wax (2005) getting 4K UHD upgrades?

THANK YOU!

Gruv has really lost it when it comes to SF pricing on their eBay store. Gruv = SDS.

Even with the multibuy discount it's cheaper to get these about anywhere else. I wonder how many copies they even sell?

Yeah, it really is ridiculous that Gruv is selling well above SRP and SF should see to it being put to and end since it relects negatively on their brand.

Slumber Party SRP $36.98 USD; GRUV $48.99 USD
Clue SRP $39.98 USD; GRUV $53.99 USD
Weird Al SRP $36.98 USD; GRUV $48.99 USD
Quigley SRP $36.98 USD; GRUV $48.99 USD

That's roughly 33% above MSRP which is just disgusting.

I don't think Shout has any say on what retailers sell stuff for. I know George Feltenstein who runs the Warner Archive has mentioned that Amazon sometimes charges more than msrp for their titles and he is not happy about it but can't force them to change it.

Gruv is SDS who is their distributor. They're not some normal retailer.

I'm only going to bring this up just once more, so don't fret.

No, the original definition of a scalper is someone who buys a whole bunch of product to create a demand then sells what they bought at over-inflated prices. Not sure how the definition changed to buying one extra copy as an investment.

Buying one extra copy of something produced in the hundreds or even thousands to sell down the road at market value isn't going to create a shortage so that someone misses out. Everyone has the same chances of buying something when they are available. And unfortunately, a lot of times I wait too long and have to resort to buying either at the after-market value or even at over-inflated prices. But that's on me for dragging my feet on getting some things.

You're right. I shouldn't care that some people disagree with me believing that there isn't anything wrong with what I'm describing. I'm just surprised that there is such a negative reaction to something so benign. It's ridiculous. They are using a broad brush and lumping me in with the scalpers. Everything isn't always black and white. (You do this so you must be this.)

Anyway, I'm sorry I even brought the whole thing up for it to cause such an overblown and misguided reaction. And for something I only planned on doing a few times years ago. I'm glad some people don't need to come up with creative ways to make a little extra cash every now and then. I will forever hang my head in shame! (Not really.)

Demon Knight, and Bordello of Blood would both be nice 4k releases. I keep hoping Shout will one day be able to get the rights to do a Tales from the Crypt TV series blu ray box set.

Even though Crypt is better, I wouldn't say no to a blu upgrade of Tales from the Dark Side TV as well.

Someone else might have the full details, but I think both shows (or at least Crypt), were shot on film but transferred to video (similar to Star Trek: The Next Generation), which would make a blu-ray-worthy transfer very expensive.
