I had been thinking about getting the German Blu-ray release of Across 110th Street. This is the only film in the announced Blaxploitation boxset that I would get the boxset for, so I'm hoping it may get a separate Shout release somewhere down the line.

Just wanted to report some great customer service.

Made three orders during that sale, and my ALF set came in with no sticker and a big smoosh to the front display side corner. Contacted shout , included a pic, and they replied in a few days and are taking care of it. Thx Shout!

Ideally, Sean Longmore would be my choice for those films. His covers for Eye for an Eye for VinSyn and Crime Story 4K for 88 Films are evocative of the style of art that John Woo's heroic bloodshed films deserve.

So much better. Sometime the artwork is even better than the film deserves.

When it comes to the Blaxploitation set I wonder if creating such cheap artwork is down to them not having the rights to use the actual actors likeness.

So these are technically Shout Select titles, each with their own number.

I would really like to see K2, Distant Thunder, The Gambler, The Education of Sonny Carson, I.Q., The Out of Towners films both the original, and the remake, plus The Dogpound Shuffle come to Blu-Ray from you guys. Is that even possible if you got the licenses for these titles that is?

Yep, they have. That's how it's showing at their site too. Their site still advertises getting a free rolled poster of the art, so I'll be curious to see what they send. I also wonder if they are going to actually replace the art with something better, or just leave it mostly blank like this.
