if anyone is looking for the sleepaway camp 2&3 blu ray, there’s a listing cheap on Ebay right now. only the 3rd has the slipcover for those who prefer them. can try to send the link if needed, but should be able to look it up. both are listed for $75 right now

So does this mean Shout has the U.S. rights to the The Crawling Eye? Maybe a future exclusive?

If only you also loved Best of the Best (1989) as much as I do. Between the two of us, we would of had the 4K by now pal

I’m definitely in for Monkey Shines as that and Creepshow are my two favorite non-zombie Romero films.

Will also get Clive Barker’s Lord of Illusions.

The Final Sacrifice was the title that made the set go oop originally. Which has since returned to the streaming platform.

It always seems like Shout/Scream are announcing the same titles over and over again.

It's more like labels are tossing the same titles over to each other, like 'Alfredo Garcia'. Incidentally, 'Garcia' doesn't even feel like a Shout title. Feels more like a Kino or even Criterion title. And "Bring It On" does feel like it was just announced for Blu-ray not too long ago. I've made it a point not to buy any Blu-ray titles from boutiques unless it's an obscure movie and, even then, I may hesitate.

i’ve never seen the film so can’t comment on it not feeling like shout.. however, i do notice it becoming more common for some movies to be done multiple labels. i do understand kino does a lot of 4k upgrades but they essentially could have a “Former Shout/Scream Factory Section” it’d have a healthy selection lol

The OG Bring It On was released on Blu-ray in 2014, which shocks me. That was huge on VHS and DVD, so it makes sense that it should've been one of Uni's first HD DVD/Blu-ray releases. (Then again, a lot of things would make sense that never happened, so I shouldn't be surprised.)

Alfredo Garcia, my main complaint is that we have a quantity of releases instead of a quality of releases. You still need multiple discs to have everything, the transfers still have the subtitle issue, and I know of at least two occasions where they promised the 4K remaster on Blu and instead delivered an older transfer.

It's one of those many titles where I ask - rhetorically, sadly - how in the hell it's been done so many times yet still hasn't been done right. It's truly maddening.

All due respect to the fans of Monkey Shines and Bring It On, I'd stick with the older copies of them if they finally fixed Alfredo Garcia. (Considering I have to update my signature soon, if this 4K drops with the same damn issue, you might see the title added to the signature...and you might start getting some opuses...)

I kinda disagree. For example, they released Lord of Illusions and Monkey Shines on blu-ray over a decade ago. Respectfully, everyone on this forum is just OLD and feels like twelve years ago was two or three years ago

i do agree that this month is definitely a well wanted exception. (doesn’t seem like over a decade ago) but return of the living dead has been beaten to death release wise from scream

I’m looking forward to July announcements that Shoit said has some HK films. Hoping it is some Golden Princess films.

I loathe that movie. But that's just, you know, my opinion, man.

Edit...

I thought Scream Factory wasn't able to secure rights to the Freddy Kruger movies? And who's this Dunning fellow? Was he in one of the Elm Street movies? Or is that like in Stephen King's It, where he uses multiple names...?

Your post definitely took me back to a time long past and I appreciate the genine laugh and definitely agree about welcoming 4k releases of Abigail and The First Omen.
A few hours is all it takes sometimes. I'm not a succinct type of guy. I prefer long waits rather than spelling it out for those who can't wait for spoilers.

OKay...what the schnizzle-fizzle-flopping stop? I realize now that it would probably take anyone eons to understand my sense of humor. But like Stuart Smalley always said...

No, no, no. Not that one!

Someone needs to do It and the Kruger movies. Especially It. Perhaps WAC's October 4K?
