I wonder if it gets better this fall with the releases of Child's Play 2, 3, Bride & Seed to tie in with the debut of Curse of Chucky
or mistro..... Jaws 2, 3 in 3-D and The Revenge! (with the 7.1 surround of the lion roar at the end of that flick! ) ![]() |

Would love a Scream Factory release of Army of Darkness with multiple cuts of the film and bonus features that were absent from the 'Screwhead Edition'.

I really wish they would release AOD , but as far as MGM titles go other than Without Warning being a big time wish list, Planet of Vampires is the next big one for me that I really, really hope Cliff can get in another MGM deal... I know lots of Bava fans out there .........

Me too with the exception of that awful uncalled for remake from 1998. Quote:

Hey Cliff, consider doing Monkey Shines as that needs a Collector's Edition blu-ray to improve on over the bareboned DVD badly with both new and old art alike with extras like commentary, deleted scenes, featurettes including retrospective and original 1988 behind the scenes one, interviews, trailer/teaser, TV spots and poster and still galleries. Or how about Steel and Lace and Eve of Destruction double feature on blu-ray/DVD combo? that would be nice. Steel and Lace is one that never had a DVD release before and MGM owns it, remember Steel and Lace? Entertaining sci-fi thriller about a woman who got raped by 5 men and commits suicide as her scientist brother brings her back as a shapeshifting cyborg hellbent on revenge. It's similar to Deadly Friend and I Spit on Your Grave as it has David Naughton from American Werewolf in London with Bruce Davisdon (from the original Willard and X-Men) and David Lander in it, i remembered watching it on HBO when i was 9 and thought it was strange yet entertaining. I mean it makes sense to pair Steel and Lace and eve of Destruction since they are similar movies! For Steel and Lace the extras can be commentary with interview, trailer and still gallery, for Eve it should have commentary, trailer, TV spots, poster and still gallery and interviews. |

I agree that Planet of Vampires and Queen of Blood would make a nice pairing..even though I prefer POV a lot more, Id watch them both, and to have them in HD would be great...right now I might just get the German DVD of POV for the anamorphic transfer.
As for Without Warning - I think this should be a DVD/Blu Ray combo since its not had a single release in the USA in either format... That would give owners of both formats a chance to own this film. And it would sell twice as well - double the format, double the buyers As for Empire of the Ants, Frogs, Squirm...the DVD transfers on these are actually really good, so unless its a really considerable upgrade..(id buy them anyway for the latest technology though) My wishlist outside of horror is At the Earths Core, Angry Red Planet, Reptilicus, Yongary and Konga...however since the DVDs do look good I dont mind holding onto those.. Titles like Planet of Vampires, Theatre of Blood and Without Warning are of high interest because of the lack of a decent transfer or lack of a release at all... I can see Cliff getting Sssssss, Shocker, Serpent and the Rainbow and other 80s titles, VHS only titles , but I cant see them doing This Island Earth, Tarantula, Deadly Mantis or any of those great B classics...I think Universal themselves will keep dipping into those movies... PSYCHO IV premiered on Showtime, same as Body Bags.
So why was it turned down, and the answer given that it was because P4 is a"TV Movie" and they wont be doing TV movies? I understand that we get some, we dont get some... But I am a tad curious dearie ![]() |

Sorry to disappoint you, but I didn't acquire it nor do I ever plan to. There are much better films to go after. Last edited by cmac; 05-24-2013 at 04:01 AM. |
