Thanks, I will give this a look. I am thinking of ordering a bundle that comes to about $500 CDN (or $23 a film) which is not a bad deal considering the cost of each disc here but NOT so great if I get hit with another whack of fees.

I just emailed them some questions. If this works out, I could see myself ordering from Shout Site again as the fees/etc. were fair IMO.

Keep in mind I'm pretty sure that the Silent Hill listed here is the sequel. Tristar/Sony has the rights to the first. Still possible for Shout to release a 4k of that one day though since they did a blu of it.

Anyway, I would love a 4k of The Grey and Nightcrawler.

It’s crazy to think that it’s been 11 years since that one came out.

Seeing it for the first time spoiler free was such a visceral experience.

They said a few months ago that it wasn't on the immediate schedule, which means it'll be coming from them at some point. Hopefully at some point this year since it's the 35th anniversary and it's in dire need of a new transfer.

Silly they sit on a guaranteed moneymaker with ‘Pacific Heights’ and release ‘Primary Colors’ or ‘Strangers With Candy’. Picks like those will get half the sales as Heights.

Found it to be overrated.

I purchased the Upgrade 4k during this past Amazon Scream Factory sale. I added it to the cart and purchased it, and then I remembered why I stopped buying Scream Factory titles: it's because every single disc I buy from them comes scratched up. So I went to cancel and noticed it was too late; it was already shipping. It arrived today loose disc(of course it was the 4K disc), and sure enough, both discs have some light scratches. On the bright side, at least it wasn't a reseal, haha.

Didn't see anyone post yet there's a 4k sale starting today for physical media club members. The link will be emailed at 3pm ET/12pm PT, they say 50% off. Sale will open to everyone tomorrow at 4am ET.

Yeah something odd is going on with this sale. Emails say 50% off everything that's on sale. Also says discount will show in cart. A lot of items look like they're on sale, but most are not on sale for 50% off. And then when you add them to your cart, no other discount is shown. So either their emails are wrong, or there's a glitch.

The email text itself says up to 60% off, so I think the banner inside the email saying 50% is likely wrong.

I'm a member, but did not get an e-mail this time. Checked the 4K releases on Shouts site and they seem to be no where near 50% or 60% off. For example, an older title like The Howling was $28, now $17.50?? Am I missing something, or does anyone have some sort of a link that opens a real sale.

Has anyone had experience using the shopping protection service for refunds due to scratched discs?

Also, I can’t seem to find Shout’s scratch policy on their Terms and Conditions page anymore. It used to mention that scratches had to exceed a certain size and impact playback in order to qualify for a replacement.

You should look into scratch insurance since you're hit so hard by the phenomena. I think Geico offfers a decently priced policy addition but it might cancel out any savings you gain from these white sales.

Nope, I would also purchase from SF Direct and the smaller boutique shops. Now I just wait and hope other companies like Arrow or Second Sight release the same title on 4K.

The items linked from the email are all on sale. The discount shows on the product page so their wording was weird, you dont need to add to cart to see the sale prices. Everything I went for bests Amazon and is the lowest I've seen from them direct, so, a good sale if your missing a few titles your after. Don't think any 2025 stuff has been discounted yet, probably not till their Oct sale.
