Unfortunately, Target never seems to carry v5 for some reason so can't pick that one up in any sale there.

Fair warning: the lowest I've seen them go is like $100. So still expensive (even if it IS a good deal for the amount of movies you're getting).

Somebody, hopefully Scream Factory needs to put 1408 out on 4k.

Target will probably be better this weekend. If you get 3 sets it works out to $70-$90 per set, depending on which volumes you are getting. IIRC, I have never seen these go down that low - even at Shout major sales. Great price, imho, if you love SB films.

I did the first three at a B2G1 which was cool. Haven’t been able to see a deal for 5-7 yet of the same ilk.

Looking forward to A Chinese Ghost Story 4k trilogy. That's one of my most wanted movies on blu ray, and we got a 4k! Awesome news

Wish Shout released My Life as a Zucchini in 4K instead of yet another unneeded re-released blu-ray. That at least would have justified its existence. The Universal and Criterion releases are just fine and still readily available.

Is this considered normal behavior of an official account?

If it's a week-long pratical joke played on your fanbase I'm not finding any part of it funny. If this is somehow a last minute made up excuse I'd say it's the lamest of them all.
[Show spoiler]I don't visit this forum as much as I have in the past. Too much insanity going on these days to be able to get to hobbies and stuff. Too tired. So, I come in here looking for the titles, and some funny banter. I've been reading along and was thinking, wow, 25 titles being announced on Monday, a few days ago, all of which I learn from this thread...but now no more leaks from Mifunefan, and only a couple titles...and that Shout! guy seemingly claiming that we're going to have some fun on Monday...a few days belated for me.

And now...? We misread their vague attempt to give us significance to nothing? I guess they couldn't even leak the fact that the leaks wouldn't even had been leakably fascinating? The fact of the amount...or Lack thereof. Much like state representatives; Shout! don't give that many shucks.

Deadpit Radio hates Scheme Factory, and Deadpit has been rather schnitty towards me in the recent past about my complaints regarding their ill-equipped nature and attitudes towards fans of quality disc releases. Yeah, lots of moody mumbo-jumbo. Why So Serious? But now I am quite appalled by a lot of different vagueries.

Nothing much to say without the aching thought of possible mad words being bannable. Carry on.

I remember getting Shout! streaming free for a month but they only allowed me to watch about 5 titles without much grief. After that, I had to erase my TVs data in order to watch two more movies. After those two, having to retype my password, I gave up and cancelled my subscription and I will never try their streaming ever again.

That factory ain't good enough to shout much any longer.

I don't think Criterion released the film on home video. On the topic of Universal, the fact Shout! is releasing the Blu-ray indicates Universal lost the home video rights and GKids is now letting Shout! release it.

EDIT; Yep, I'm right; Check Amazon, Universal's Blu is being sold by 3rd party for $24.

It's an extra on Criterion's Petite Maman. French only language, but I never watch non-English films dubbed anyway so that's a non-issue.

Yes, Universal lost the rights which GKids now have. But GKids didn't "let" Shout release it, Shout is the distributer of all of GKids home video releases.

My Afternoon as a Pineapple was far better than zucchini and really deserved a better release.

Slight correction. GKIDs always had the rights to the film. Universal was just the previous home video distributor for GKIDS, before Shout took over that role.
