Yep already knew that, cmac said here on the forums....

We knew about this Friday's announcement but knowing that we'll be getting a title a week announced.... My mouth is already watering! Now, this is truly something to look forward to every week... Bring it on, Scream Factory!

I will have heart palpitations if that is the announcement. Although they did say 1 title.

I'm gonna say it's either going to be "The Town That Dreaded Sundown" or a Collector's Edition of "The Fog". Any other guesses?

That would explain why this is listed on Amazon, but not on sale by any of the 3rd party sellers in their marketplace. Thanks.

I think Asylum is still licensed to Dark Sky Films along with And now the Screaming Starts and The Beast Must Die. I emailed them a month or two ago to see if they had any plans to rerelease these in Blu-Ray, but they advised there there were no plans in place at that time.

I agree that Shout will probably want to make the first announcement a "biggie", so if it's MGM titles, I'd say the oft-requested WITHOUT WARNING. Runner up would be PRINCE OF DARKNESS, although it doesn't quite feel big enough. It's gotta be something A LOT of people have been requesting for a LONG time. Friday seems like an eternity.

Well, I'm pretty happy with my imported blu-ray of The Fog.
It was pretty cheap when I got it and It looks good, could look a little better I suppose, but any improvements to the PQ/AQ would be marginal IMO, similar to the improvements H2 SFCE has over H2 30A. It would have to be a lot of cool supplemental material in addition to the improved PQ/AQ to get me to double dip. I'd prefer Christine, In the Mouth of Madness, or Prince of Darkness before another version of the The Fog.

In the Mouth of Madness: yes!
Prince of Darkness: yes!
Christine: no, but only because it already has a pretty good special edition.

The only way you'll get MADNESS is probably a Warner MOD disc

Cliff,

Is there any chance you guys could get ahold of my all time favorite movie: Escape From New York?
I would love to see this treated with the care that it deserves!

Another title IF you end up getting MGM's catalog that I would love on Blu is I, Madman.

There is nothing wrong with the current release, it's fine for many. But for a decent amount of others, they would like to see another release with the color timing matching what the DP of the film intended, which is bluer nights and more "fall-like" days. Like I said, it's controversial and probably best left discussed in the Halloween Blu-Ray thread and not here.

Back on topic...

Whoever in this thread has guessed the title to be announced on Friday should get a free copy of They Live.
