Both were about to be announced for release along with the JAWS blu-ray last year and then they were pulled. The cover art for JAW 3-D was even in Horrorhound Magazine.

I think they will be announced again at some point

I saw that. They were gonna do what you are doing with Amityville 3D.

Was Jaws 3D originally going to be on standard Blu-ray? Universal has stepped up their 3D game so I can see it having both 2D and true 3D on one disc (like the Fascination Coral Reef discs) and maybe that is what caused the delay.

Jaws releases have no bearing for me since I only like the first one
A title I will mention, though it wouldnt be a Scream title but I'd love it if Shout would do a Blu release of the classic This Island Earth actually...

Hi Cliff - Why did Universal say no to your request for Army of Darkness ? Do they have plans for it themselves ?

Out Of The Dark was released as an MOD DVD-R by Sony. I doubt it's a title that Twilight Time, Image, or even Mill Creek would have much interest in.

So the MOD is probably as good as it gets.

I'd love Scream to release Badham's 'Dracula', with its wonderful original colour photography still in place + the Badham approved (misguidedly IMHO), drained, almost B&W version that has been issued a couple of times on DVD.

That's amazing that its a hot seller considering it has 1/100th of the extras that are on the DVDs which is why I haven't upgraded anything yet...

I have This Island Earth in the MST3K version + I have a R1 full frame DVD and the R2 PAL Widescreen edition...

I still cant believe that movie was chosen...its not that bad a movie, in fact in some domains its a real classic...

Now Olive Films on the other is releasing Fire Maidens of Outer Space which is and was a great choice for MST3K - the famous Timmy episode

Hint: I cut the date off at 1995.
Interesting list. Out of those 25, I could see Universal probably hanging on to the Jaws sequels (even 3 and Revenge) with them being released later by Universal. And I can see Universal just sitting on Ghost Story, Firestarter, Nightmares, Howard the Duck, and the Crypt movies and not doing anything with them. Which leaves...16 possible SF releases.

Personally, the ones I want to see the most are Death Becomes Her, Sssssss, The People Under the Stairs and The Sentinel.

It's that high on the list because it has been sitting around the $5-$10 range for a while now. I picked it up from Amazon.ca for $6 not too long ago. It's one of my favourite movies but I held off on it as well because of the lack of extras (Especially the Director's Cut!) and the subpar PQ. Either way, this is a movie that has a huge cult market and I'm sure always sells a fair amount. Hopefully Shout can pry it from Univesal's hands though as it is desperate for a release from a company that gives a damn.

I would also love to see a re-release of The Thing (Probably equal in popularity to AOD) and Escape from New York with all the previous extras and some new ones. Just imagine what sweet love Scream would do with their slipcovers! I know, there are lots of other titles that don't have a Bluray release, let alone a DVD release yet, but these are still my most wanted as they are favourites and their current Bluray releases (like AOD) are pretty insulting compared to what other films have gotten on Blu.

And are Universal really making that much money selling these movies for just over $5 even if they are selling a lot of copies?
