So it's been confirmed on SF's facebook that Alice Cooper did indeed participate in an interview for the PoD release. Very cool

Add another one who would love "Lord of Illusions" on blu...I saw it in theaters back in the day, I remember vividly because first I really liked it (Famke..drool) and second I remember the theater worker (an older gent) saying Apollo 13 was the better movie as it was a mini theater and these were the only two playing...I proudly then walked into Lord of Illusions anyway (Though do like Apollo too)...glad I did. Anyway I hope Scream gets this.

Who owns the rights to the Sleepaway Camp movies? I would love to see Scream Factory releases of the first three. Maybe a standalone release for the first one and a double feature for the other two.

I don't know who owns the rights to the movies, but Cliff has already said No to Sleepaway Camp 2 and 3. I'm thinking those two sequels are at a studio that are off-limits to Scream.

But was that the Cliff way of saying you had both "Lord of Illusions" and "Bad Taste"?
And that smileyface is awfully suspicious lol.

Or am I just drinking too much coffee?
LOL... no, you are reading into it. We don't have either film. I wish we did.

No double features, please.

Also Candyman 2: Farewell To The Flesh and ofcourse Clive Barker's Lord Of Illusions.

all should be under MGM, are this coming up?
the first two are not with MGM. Someone else holds those rights. they weren't made by Empire, they were pickups. Can't remember who the rights holder is.

we don't have the rights to the other two.

I agree, the Anchor Bay dvds have been long out of print. The Sleepaway Camp movies are perfect for the Scream label whether in a trilogy like the Slumber Party Massacre movies or as you stated, in a stand alone release for the first movie and a double feature for 2 and 3.

That's disappointing that Scream Factory does not yet have Lord of Illusions but hopefully this discussion has demonstrated there is a market for high definition Lord of Illusions suffcient to inspire Scream Factory to nab it at the next avaliable opportuity...

OH man I hope not. I can't see them doing anything with it. Unless they purchased it with the intent on leasing the rights to Scream Factory!

Parts 2 and 3 play on the MGM HD channel (which only plays films from MGM) So I guess MGM has the cable rights, but not sure about blu-ray/dvd rights.

I just noticed the list on the first page stating that Cliff has already said no to Sleepaway Camp 2 and 3. Bummer. Maybe there is hope for the original though.

What about Kolchak: The Night Stalker? MGM's DVD release of the television movies have been out of print for ages and trades for serious money these days.

I wonder about that. It's entirely possible that MGM may hang onto it since Disney is prepping a film adaptation with Edgar Wright and Johnny Depp. It'd be killer if Scream gets their hands on it since it would be treated worlds better.

Jeez, people are getting a little worked up over a wishlist. I can only pop in here every now and then at the office when I have a moment, so I may not be completely up-to-date on who holds what or what Cliff has recently shot down. A thousand pardons Scream for my message board annoyances while simultaneously doing everything I can to support you...

The original is highly rumored to be with Universal.

Sleepaway Camp II and III are with Double Helix. The company of their director.
If Cliff want's to know, he can be reached at the Sleepaway Camp fansite.
But Im sure IF Double Helix does have the rights, Cliff has checked there already.

I would love any of the Sleepaway Camp movies. If they could only get the sequels, that would be fine, although the original is insanely scary.

The sequels are fun, the 3rd is my favorite. It one that I can watch on loop all day and still be entertained. I remember grabbing the Canadian vhs when I was little, seeing Jason's mask and Freddy's glove on the cover. Thinking it was somehow related. The ending of the 1st film scarred me for life. lol.

With so many great titles coming out in September i'm finally going to have to be a little more selective with the ones I buy. Q & Dark Angel will probably have to wait a while, maybe Swamp Thing too.
