Universal may even have a HD master already sitting on the shelf, because I've seen people on other boards talk about seeing it broadcast on Universal's HD channel in the past. If that's the case, then it's not as if PSYCHO IV is some 1950s Kinescope recording that's going to require a lot of work to make it to Blu-Ray. It was also shot for Showtime, not network TV, and had quality talent behind the camera making it (Joseph Stefano wrote the original PSYCHO for Hitchcock and authored the script; Mick Garris directed it and helmed plenty of Stephen King adaptations).

If Shout is smart (and they are , given BATES MOTEL's big success on A&E, I'd go ahead with the PSYCHO II/III combo pack...wait and see how it sells...then do a PSYCHO IV release with the busted BATES MOTEL TV pilot with Bud Cort as a bonus feature sometime next year. That way they'd get two possible sellers out of the franchise instead of one!
They are releasing Psycho II and Psycho III separately.

But yeah at least Psycho IV because a ton of fans wondered why they didn't get it on here and FB. Its a total classic and my personal favorite of the franchise. Bates Motel would be a nice SD extra, or not.

I JUST REALLY REALLY WANT PSYCHO 4!!!!!

[QUOTE=demonknight;7659057]Here's a question: If you could create a "dream" box set with three films by the same director, what would it be? No genre, company, or any other restrictions.

The Brood/The Dead Zone/History of Violence

Night of the Creeps/The Monster Squad/RoboCop 3

The Omen/Goonies/Scrooged

The Faculty/ Sin City/ Planet Terror

Carrie/Dressed to Kill/Blowout

Texas Chainsaw Massacre/Funhouse/Poltergeist

Would any of my fellow peers and collectors be up for a release of The Rift aka Endless Descent if Shout Factory would release that title ?
That one is high on my wish list like Without Warning.
The Rift is from J Piquor Simon who did Pieces - its a cool monster movie with gore. It has never had a DVD release either...and it isnt that bad a film actually.

I would love to see Scream Factory release John Carpenter's The Thing on blu-ray since they seem to have made a new deal with Universal for some bigger catalogue titles... The R1 release already available is a disgrace for only having Terror Takes Shape watchable in the PIP track. This is my favourite John Carpenter title and I'd love to see it get the treatment it deserves aka The Scream Factory treatment!

I've thought about that, however I'm awaiting Scream to get their hands on it so a new cover gets commissioned as well as some new extras like interviews and such. Believe you me I've bought this movie many a times already I'd like to get a definitive edition from Scream until the next gen format comes out! Here's to hoping! Haha

Carpenter's THE THING is too big of a title for Universal to license. If it's Universal titles they're announcing in July I bet it's THE SENTINEL, THE LEGACY or GHOST STORY (or all 3). All good, solid scare flicks that could use nice upgrades. Actually, the first 2 would go well with DEADLY BLESSING as they're in the same category - supernatural horror. Ghost Story is a better-than-average, well, ghost story . I'd love to see the footage that was cut, though.

We'll just have to wait until Scream becomes a big enough player and it can choose its own titles haha it will happen sooner or later at this pace of releases!
