I made that exact point in my post.

Not Shout, not meant to start a discussion, just a tidbit of news...

In the Mouth of Madness wasn't directly related to Scream, but it doesn't really matter 80% of this thread isn't directly related to Scream Factory. And It was part of the conversation about other a few companies making announcements today, except for Shout, so it's related to them enough so that I felt the need to post it.

We can play Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon all day, if you want.

No offence intended.

I have been with this thread since the beginning, I maintain the o.p along with a couple others others, and I own every Scream Factory release, so I'm pretty sure I can handle writing my own posts.

Thanks...

Loosen up. We're all fans here.

I second the Englund Phantom double feature.

Didn't mean to set anyone off, but just saying. Odd Angry Shot is not a horror film. Scream Factory is a label that specializes in horror films (or at least films with horror elements).

I don't know, whatever would be classified as 3rd tier ...Something along the lines of the Vargrant I suppose

Alone in the Dark (1982) - being a New Line title, this one is probably with Warner, so, no

Cat People (1982) - Universal, so, maybe?

Nighthawks (1981) - Universal, maybe?

Eyes of Laura Mars (1978) - Sony/Columbia TriStar, no

Ms. 45 (1981) - NO!!!

When a Stranger Calls (1979) - Sony/Columbia TriStar, no

Jaws 2 (1978) - Universal, maybe? But, Universal may release themselves?

The Car (1977) - Universal, maybe?

Suspiria (1977) - Hell no!

Carrie (1976) - MGM, maybe a possibility? But with the remake coming, maybe not

Play Misty for Me (1971) - Universal, maybe?

Don’t Look Now (1973) - Paramount, no

And....don't hate, but what about a definitive edition of Showgirls (1995)? MGM's got it, so it might be a possibility. If Scream released it, I bet we could actually get some extras that pertained to the film like a commentary with Paul Verhoeven, Elizabeth Berkley, and Gina Gershon, a making of documentary, etc., you know, all of the things MGM would never give us.
Play Misty For Me and also Duel both have new 2K Theatricals avalible, so expect these on blu ray soonish

I thought I heard Studio Canal had Trick or Treat, which means it's likely with Lionsgate, in which case it won't happen with Scream Factory.
The blu ray rights for Savage Streets are with Code Red, the DVD rights worth Scorpion.

Um. That's 4th tier... lol

and The Haunting (1963) was just announced from Warner too. Damn.
They need to get with the program and announce Changeling though.

Final Exam and a few others are with Code Red on BD, but with Scorpion on DVD. Which sucks. Final Exam and Savage Streets are really good.

I just made The Thing into a combo and kept the DVD for the extras.

Here's how I break it down:
1st Tier: Collector's Editions
2nd Tier: Regular Title
3rd Tier: Double Feature Titles
4th Tier: DVD only titles

I wish it were Leatherface: TCM3 instead. The Beginning already had a blu release. An unrated one to boot. This is just theatrical.
The other two look fantastic though!

Amen. I got rid of my DVD prematurely, so they need to make it snappy, but our luck it would be Leatherface's R-Rated edition, like the Beginning.

or at least the original's 40th Anniversary Edition that they promised us!
Im about to break down and get the oop one. But My steelbook tcm is okay I guess... Im so torn!

When I first started to follow this thread I didn't think it will end like what it is right now. Too bad I don't have Facebook.
I thought we would compare different versions of the movies that got a release (comparing cuts, DVDs and blu-rays or such), talking about the special features, about the movies themselves.
And not only hypothetic releases.
It's just sad and not very informative, that's all I'm saying, but keep up talking, who gives a damn about my own opinion afterall!
I just read every post since the thread was launched and I thought I would finally say something, but I shouldn't, you're right (and I'm not ironic at all! I mean what I say!)

One thing 'though is that I'm glad I pissed off Cmac by repeating that they needed to include english subs in their releases 'cause it's what they do since then and I'm really grateful to Shout Factory for that!!!
You didn't piss me off.

So, Cliff, has the Psycho art been finalized yet? Either one? I'm not asking to see it yet, just to know if it is coming very soon.
