Is this a very recent restriction then, because I received a Shout Blu-ray from Amazon US here in the UK just last week?

With other companies announcing their October schedules, I can already smell a few certain announcements coming from Mill Creek:
The Bride / The Revenge of Frankenstein
Vampires / Vampires: Los Muertos
Pumpkinhead: Ashes to Ashes / Pumpkinhead: Blood Feud
Boogeyman / Boogeyman 2
Screamers / Screamers: The Hunting
and at least 1 Godzilla set.

I also have the strangest feeling that Twilight Time will get Candyman.

heard some news that may affect international customers

due to a legal contract scream factory titles are not allowed to be sold internationally and no online store will be able to ship them to anywhere internationally. amazon has already started this and even lesser known online stores have been informed of this. listings for sf titles on amazon marketplace uk will also be taken down. if you want any of these titles i recommend buying them all now while you still can as there are still some listings on amazon uk.

That's absurd. Is there a precedent for this kind of agreement? Because I can't think of one.

There will always be other ways to buy imports. There are proxy services and friends who live internationally...

OMG! This can't be true! So,they want to loose thousands of fans and customers from outside the US. WTF? This is okay with Criterion and other companies selling region locked blu-ray,but not Shout Factory.. This is just terrible news. I was a big fan of Scream Factory and now I'm not allowed to even buy their products! Most of these films will never be released outside the US on blu-ray. Now I have to watch disney films, because I'm not allowed to buy my favorite movies from the US.. Great day!

I have no idea where this information is coming from, but we have done nothing to stop sales.

Ok, people, Calm down, Cliff just answered. If there is a shipping issue, it was NOT at the request of SHOUT (SCREAM) Factory! International buyers should contact Amazon to zeek further explanation from them, If the reports are true regarding the shipping and not just made up gossip.

After a quick check it would appear not all Shout Factory titles have that restriction. For example, Terror Vision/Video Dead and My Little Pony: FIM currently don't have that restriction. It also affects Shout! Factory titles and isn't limited to just Scream Factory titles since G.I. Joe: The Original Movie and A Monster in Paris 3D have the same restrictions.

If it's Amazon policy are they applying it to any other labels? If not, why single out SF.

Sony only has Boogeyman and The Return of Boogeyman (Boogeyman 3).
Boogeyman 2 is available in multiple cuts, including one in the public domain. The director re-edits the film every couple of years and makes practically entirely new films.

I would still like them though. The first is great, the rest are horribly cheesy. I love it. They really just use rehashed footage and then fugly new footage, spliced into it.

I wish Scream would put the preorder up for Psycho II/III on their website already! Want to preorder those, Day of the Dead, and Prince of Darkness.

I assumed demonknight was referring to Boogeyman 2 (2007) and Boogeyman 3 (2008) which Sony does own.

Per their Facebook:

Quote:
Sorry but we have some unfortunate news to report about our upcoming Collector's Editions of PSYCHO II & III.

It was always our original intention to have new art commissioned for both (which would be consistent with our other "Collector's Edition" releases) but the studio asked to go with the original theatrical poster artwork on these films instead. As much as this decision disappoints, we respect it and are still pleased that the original art will still be represented, but this time front and center. We hope you will be too.

For those curious, a slipcase will still be on the releases like our other Collector's Editions. Be on the lookout soon for the finalized specs and artwork within the next couple of months. Street date is 9/24. Thanks for understanding.
Personally, this is no biggie for me. I love the poster art for both of those.
