I was looking at Sony's catalog and I have come to some possible conclusions.
1) Image may have Candyman or Texas Chainsaw: TNG.
2) Mill Creek should make a double of The Kiss and 976-EVIL.

WHAT MILL CREEK SHOULD RELEASE AS DOUBLES:
-The Deep/Piranha II
-The Bride/Revenge of Frankenstein
-The Kiss/976-EVIL
-Any two Godzilla movies
-Vampires/Vampires: Los Muertos

The Deep and Piranha II would suck as a Double Feature, imo.
I hate random sequels paired with other films, but at least it would be available on BD.

What makes you think Image has those two? That's very interesting that you say that...

I'd prefer a solo release of 'John Carpenter's Vampires', I think it deserves it. Never seen the sequel, but I can only imagine.

Being as it is Sony and Mill Creek you would be dealing with, if this were even close to being a realistic release, you'd be lucky to get the double feature at all, much less a single. God knows what goes through some of these company's heads. (If the company itself actually had one ).

+1 Absolutely love Vampires. If Twilight Time got this, it would be the only title I would ever get from them.

Nice of them to offer a combo option (with the lack of posters for these, there wouldn't be much incentive to pay Shout's higher prices otherwise ), but as the total would be $56 with shipping, the Psycho Legacy doc would actually be $14 since you could have pre-ordered Psycho II and III for $42 (not counting Gold Box) from Amazon.

I hate Twilight Time.
Fans shouldn't have to settle for TT releases, like the people who were wishing TT would get Pumpkinhead. Why? Just because Shout doesn't release it, doesn't mean it will never get good treatment from anyone.

Lets think Blu-Ray is still relatively new, DVD stood alone, after VHS for 6 years, but still thrived before VHS's were obsolete. Just take it slow, and don't sacrifice any films to the Satan that is Twilight Time....

I'm not a fan of their model but Vampires seems like a release that the only way it would come out is through them (Sony title, John Carpenter, etc). I don't want it to be TT, but the odds are leaning that way.

Just thought Deep and Piranha II were water related. That's probably what they would think too.

I say this because Image has recently gained access to a percentage of Sony's catalog: Idle Hands, Peggy Sue Got Married, Jagged Edge, etc.

That would be a New Year's themed one.

New Years, Christmas... It's all December haha. It's a shame because the MGM MOD looked terrific, I'm sure it would look killer on Blu-ray.

No, I completely agree, I was just saying that he said no to Christmas titles, not New Year's titles. lol.

Though I doubt they acquired it so soon, especially since Cliff turned it down fairly recently, I believe.

I'm not either, but I think someone else would jump on it and do a better job, given the opportunity.

And John Carpenter titles don't carry a negative stigma, do they? lol.

I agree that someone could do a better job on it. It's just a matter of negotiating with Sony.

I don't think they carry a stigma lol. I was just basing it off of Christine.

The ones after ITMOM do. I liked Village of the Damned but many hate it violently.

Hi Cliff,

Have you considered THE ADDICTION (1995) with Lili Taylor, Edie Falco, and Christopher Walken for a Scream Factory Blu-ray release? Universal never released it on DVD in R1, so all fans have is a worn-out VHS. Frankly, I don't think they knew how to market it. A Blu-ray release would be a huge upgrade and more vampire films in the collection is a good thing.

It might be a bit too 'arthouse' for the label, but I enjoy picks that come out of left field every once in a while. That, and the prospect of any supplemental material involving Christopher Walken is irresistible

It apparently has an HD master. I saw that it was on Encore HD a while back.
