I believe the rights holder is the widow of the original rights holder. Apparently, she has quite a handful of gems in her possession but wants absurd prices to license them. Pretty much explains why we've never seen them released officially. Such a shame because I'd kill to have both of them on Blu-ray.

I hope so, the movie is a classic!

Hey do you guys buy directly from SF? I saw they offered a poster with The Fog so went to preorder it today and BASIC shipping was 6.99. Am I reading something wrong or is that accurate? I can get free release day shipping through amazon for 22 bucks, it would cost me 30 through SF.

Enter the Ninja and Revenge of the Ninja as a double feature would definitely sell well and probably much better than Ninja III alone.

Yes, the logic to base how the previous Ninja films would potentially perform from a sales perspective, based on Ninja III sales alone would be problematic at best.

These films were much better and established the genre which many others eventually copied.

They were also played more on cable channels and gained a wider audience since the early 1980's, Enter the Ninja currently plays on MGM HD channel and looks outstanding!

I love Ninja III and the transfer is excellent but the prior installments established the franchise and spawned the corresponding Ninja film craze.

I love them all and I am truly grateful for a fine Ninja III transfer and release but there is no doubt in my mind that the others would produce a greater sales volume, especially as a double feature!

Ah, thanks for the update. I figured it had to be something like this since they weren't released even on DVD.

We have some relatives to a deceased Danish director doing the same thing over here. The guy, Poul Nyrup, worked in different departments on numerous movies, including the infamous 'Reptilicus', but he also scraped enough money together to fund three hilarious Danish exploitation movies himself. They were released on VHS back in the 1980s, but ever since a local festival showed them in the mid-90s, his heirs have believed they sit on gold and have turned all offers to release them down. In the meantime, the prints are probably rotting away on some garage.

Yes, I've bought most of the Collector's Editions through Scream directly. Basically, is a poster (if still available) worth $8-9 to you? I think they're pretty cool

So depressing when people are greedy and don't get the importance of film history and preservation.

I love Bravo's 100 Scariest Moments. It was basically my horror 101. I still watch it all the time.

It's a terrible situation. Code Red keeps hitting roadblocks in their quest to acquire obscure films because people didn't have the foresight to preserve or properly store film elements and don't have useable materials. But greed and disinterest are also big problems. Producers are under the impression their films are worth a lot of money

My roomate and I watched it with a pen and paper so we could write down all the ones we hadn't seen. I was exposed to a couple great movies through that program. Blood and Black Lace was another one!

All of us hit that roadblock... That was the biggest problem with the Corman Collection.

I''ve only seen 53 out of the 100, but plan on getting 99 of them. Only one I have no interest in is Black Christmas. As a huge Christmas fanatic, I don't like mixing horror and Christmas.

Travesty! That movie is AWESOME and you should definitely give it a chance. It holds up really well and it has the amazing combo of Margo Kidder and Olivia Hussey.
