Obviously, it's too late for that, but it is the only good and best sequel in the series, in my opinion. And that new wave theme song played through-out has to a lot to do with it's charm.

Also, seeing as "Psycho II" and "Psycho III" have never-ever been given special features to any of its releases by Universal and GoodTimes, can you give us an idea of what you will have to offer? I know at this point you probably don't want to go into specifics, but since they are donning the "Collector's Edition" banners, can you maybe gauge how much they will have to offer? Say maybe like "Terror Train" or "Deadly Blessing" sized special features or more content like "The Howling" or "Halloween" part 2 or 3?
I'd assume that with not having any new artwork or posters for these 2 that scream will be going all out on extras for them(i hope).I'd love a Tom Holland commentary for part 2 and would do a little dance of joy if they could get Meg Tilly to contribute.Juliette Cummins for part 3 would be great too.

I've been trying to get through "Psycho II" lately but haven't come to finishing it yet, I always get to the part where Dennis Franz shows up at the diner possibly drunk I believe. By the way I love how he talks to Norman about the drug use going on in the rooms, the parent's are doing it and their kids are doing it, always find it kinda funny.

I've been collecting every release so far, but I'm just kind of on the fence about these two. I've seen part 3, I enjoy in the way that it is kinda bad but really unintentionally funny at times. I guess these ones are riding on how much extra content there will be.

Speaking of Howling sequels, am I the only one that flat out hates 3? I loved 2 and thought that 4 was somewhat tolerable. 5&6 are yet to be seen.

I don't see why not. It needs to be on my, so bad it's good shelf next to Ninja III, Terrorvision/Video Dead and Troll 2.

I have "Escape From NY" on blu-ray already but we all know how it turned out and the other two just aren't feasible for a lot of people, for one "Christine" is in the $100+ range which is a joke and "Vampires" who knows when that one will see the light of day and if they will even bother with porting the commentary.

Why is Sony seemingly not giving a shit about releasing their titles themselves aside from new releases, I mean just looking at what I own, they put out "Dracula", the "Hostel" films, "Night of the Creeps" even. It's incredibly annoying now that everything seemingly goes to Mill Creek or Twilight Time.
Or Image.

I adore The Howling 2: Your Sister's a Werewolf, Its amazing and I can't wait until SOMEONE puts it out.

Who ever that is will definitely get my money, even if it's not Shout Factory.

Some of them aren't even sequels in any sense, they just arbitrarily classified them as Howling films. It's really a sad franchise. The worst Friday, Halloween and Nightmare sequels are better than any post-II Howling film, which is terrible but at least watchable. And I'm speaking as someone for whom the first film is his favorite horror film of all time and overall one of the best of the decade.

I really do feel that way as well, it truly is a really fun movie. Christopher Lee in those new wave sunglasses, the new wave "Howling" theme song. That movie is a good representation of what a truly 'so bad it's good' 1980's horror film sequel is.

Anything past part II requires a lot of guts, I mean your really going into the trenches with those movies.

I can't really say I'm a big fan of any of the Howling sequels. They ranged from bad (Howling 2 & 4) to deplorable (every other Howling sequel). There was obviously some serious drug use going on when these movies were concocted.

My favorite werewolf movies in no particular order
An American Werewolf in London (1981)
Bad Moon (1996)
Silver Bullet (1985)
Dog Soldiers (2002)
Ginger Snaps 1 & 2 (2000)(2004)
The Howling (1981)
Big Bad Wolf (2006)

I saw a few of the sequels to The Howling years ago when I was young (maybe 3, 4 and 5?). They were terrible, especially the Marsupials one. I've never seen Howling II, but I heard that that one was also pretty awful.

I love those 2 as well, btw.

Haven't seen any of these either, but will check them out at some point.

How about the great FOX 80's tv series Werewolf. Wasn't Shout supposed to release this at one point?

I believe it had to do with clearing music rights...

and what about Universal's Watchers, as a possible CC announcement?

As a child of the 80's and a fan of the 2 Coreys, I vote yes for Watchers. Great monster movie.

The Marsupials is Part 3. It did, most certainly, suck ass.
