Well you could look at it like that, OR...you can look at like there are twice as many forums in which to post.
Plus I still consider it a happy forum!

It's one of the creepiest movies ever, imo.

I'm always in favor of more De Palma films getting the blu-ray treatment. In fact when Quentin Tarantino did Howard Stern last to promote "Django" he talked about his influences and went into a whole thing about De Palma and how much he really loved "Raising Cain."

You can roll your eyes all day, if you'd like.

It's still typically a pretty good indicator. If Howling 2 has such a huge fan base like some are claiming, even a barebones disc with lousy cover art would have moved some units on DVD.

I really would be curious to know how well it sold. I've had my copy before the advent of blu-ray I believe and judging by the Amazon listing it may be going or already out of print. Theres 1 in stock and it's an Amazon fulfillment order for $16.88. It definitely has a cult following, as does the new wave theme song in it, I guess it's just how big that following is that counts.

I got my copies of Halloween II and III that I ordered directly from the Shout factory website yesterday but they were missing the slipcovers. Kind of bummed about that but I'm looking forward to picking up The Fog as soon as it is avalible.

Would love to, but there are no good elements to do a BluRay on this title, sadly.

This is a bummer. I just ordered "Terror Train" specifically, but from Amazon, to possibly get it with a slipcover, a little late I know. "Terror Train" was the next wave right after the "Halloween" titles so I'm kind of worried. I didn't buy it due to lack of extras but I decided what the hell might as well get it and I do want it uniform with all the others. I hope it comes in a slip.

^ You might want to contact them. I shot Shout! an e-mail after my Funhouse came naked from Amazon in hopes of buying one from them. They politely declined and said the only way to ensure you get an O-card is ordering directly from them. Using that logic, you could nicely inform them you didn't receive one and should have.

If it comes without, I'll simply return the order and place an order with "Shout!" I suppose.

All Blu ray , combo packs and other news can continue to be discussed here.. I don't see what's the problem and why you feel the need to be upset.. It's just the fact that 8 pages worth of comments have been deleted. It just saddens me.

I did that. Hoping for the best but I'm still happy with the movies.

I don't know numbers but the original mainstream DVD was sold in a job-lot dump of other no-name bare bones MGM titles (as a Hemdale film, it was dumped into their ThisTV "ghetto" of obscure indie one-disk releases from expired 80's B-studios that nowadays would go straight into the Archive or Instant Netflix, if either had existed back then)--
And then--and (speaks loudly, overenunciatingly and distinctly, as one would with the foreign, hard of hearing or developmentally challenged) WAS SOLD TO A GENERAL MASS MARKET AND NOT TO A CORE 80'S HORROR FAN BASE that would have already been cult-familiar with the title.
Which is why some of the folks here are interested to see what would happen if Scream released it. Since, it'd be, like different, 'n stuff. As I recall, nobody bought Terror Train on general DVD, either, what's yer freakin' point?

Ironically, the Lame Five-Minute Made-Up MGM Cover (which tried to home-clone the original "rip" poster for the first one) was an arguably better cover than the original H2 ever got. But still looked cheap.
Not that any philistine mainstream folk noticed or cared at the time, however.

Because people get angry over stupid stuff. I agree why get angry over something you have no control over.

Take what you can get and if you don't like it suck it up and drive on.
I'll take whatever Scram/Shout want to give us and am thankful for it.

This whole forum has been angry these past couple days it seems like.

I'm happy that I got my Lifeforce poster framed. It looks like a beauty. Just have to get a frame for Phantasm II and most likely Day of the Dead and Prince of Darkness.

Tomorrow is also July 1st. That means 18 more days until Comic Con announcements!

This is in need of the Scream! CE treatment. A great horror/thriller which is very underrated.
