Maybe there is some uncertainty about the rights. MGM sure thinks they have them as they have shown it in HD on cable. But I know for a fact, that another company also claims to own it and have shopped it around to companies abroad.

I would personally buy a BD of WITHOUT WARNING in a heartbeat. I watched it many times on TV as a kid. It's definitely not some lost masterpiece, but it is good fun, has some very memorable actors, and then there of course is the whole parallel with PREDATOR.
I don't know about this film, specifically, but MGM may only hold TV rights. They have TV rights to several films that they do not actually own, like Sleepaway Camp II and III, which are with the producers I believe.

I don't know. That's a better Facebook question since its a marketing thing... And Jeff our Scream marketing guru answers the FB page.

Does Jeff run the facebook for Shout! as well?

I feel like the Shout! guy is extra-happy in posts. lol.
Maybe it's because it's horror... idk.

Not sure if anyone has asked, but what about Rockula? As far as I know, MGM released a VHS of this at some point. Not sure who has the rights currently. It was on Netflix for a time however.

But Scream is the first company that I have bought everything from their catalog, and I'll be damned if I don't get one. I don't care who I have to send it back to. They are awesome and I'm proud to have them in my collection.

But, like, the Zombie slipcover, I could care less...
I stand corrected, that makes sense. Shout/Scream is the best blu ray releasing company and collecting their product complete with slipcovers is understandable. If I still had my Terror Train slip I'd mail it to you. From here on in I will keep the slipcovers and offer them up to collectors here for free.

Without Warning is with MGM - no if ands or buts - and I suspect at some point it will be released by Scream Factory. I just think it was overlooked and now the Scream Factory folks acknowledge its popularity and its many requests..as Jeff Nelson said it is a highly requested title. Now that I think the business side of getting titles realize that this would sell well I think we will see it in 2014..Well I sure as hell hope so..in widescreen as a collectors edition DVD / blu ray combo so both formats can own this never released on DVD or VHS in the USA movie - if you havent seen it, this is a movie that in part inspired Predator and Alien is played by the late Kevin Peter Hall - who as also the Predator !

Not sure if it's been mentioned before Cliff, and apologies if it has, but I, Madman would be a great title for Scream Factory.

I used to love that movie... I haven't seen in a while though. Hopefully they might release it one day.

Didn't studio canal do the transfer and it was pretty much just given to scream for their release?

It wasn't even released on VHS in the US? That's odd. We had a nice, but dark VHS rental release here in Denmark. It was even in letterboxed widescreen AFAIR (probably taken straight from a theatrical print as many of the early Danish VHS rentals).

It was released in other countries on VHS most notably a Japanese VHS release...but in the USA , nada, not even Beta
That is why Without Warning should be a DVD Blu ray combo
I would be pleasantly surprised if this movie was announced at Comic Con. I think they have it now - well at least I am hopeful that they do..
Im pretty confident about Shocker and People Under the Stairs could also be announced there as well - I did a blind buy at Rasputin Records, they had the double feature DVD for 10.00 and grabbed it - and enjoyed both films

Without Warning is a highly overlooked and very under appreciated horror classic. Ive been hoping for a good transfer of this film for years. I used to have a terrible vhs copy off of television but have miss placed it. This movie seems right up Scream Factorys alley, a perfect fit for them.

I can't wait for Phantom of the Paradise. Arrows announcement only makes me more sure that Shout may have acquired it. Might even see it in December if it gets announced at Comic Con, Cliff did say that there were a couple more for this year...

I have got a non-Scream Factory related question, can anyone help me out with the title of a 90s film, somewhat similar to The Cabin in the Woods, I think it was Swedish?

Anyone know what I'm talking about, I vaguely remember it...
Thanks, I hope lol

I was not aware of this. I hope the good people over at Scream Factory can find a way to acquire it. Maybe have Fox throw in Shock Treatment too?
I only say this because I don't have a multi-region player.

I think that would make a great release, too.
Rocky and Shocky are both high on my favorites list.
