Indeed they would! I'm still kicking myself for losing my DVD double feature, which has since gone out of print.

** EXCLUSIVE ANNOUNCEMENT**

For the next couple of months on Fridays we'll reveal a title planned for a future release which is part of a new licensing deal we struck. The first out of the crate are...TERRORVISION (1986) and THE NEST (1988)

The highly-requested TERRORVISION has never been on DVD format before and THE NEST has never been released in a widescreen presentation. That will all change soon. :-)

Check back with us next Fri for another release scoop. And keep checking back with us regularly for more release specific details on TV and THE NEST.

I still have both the Anchor Bay and MGM DVDs of these films.
A BD release would be awesome! The Night Stalker is one of my personal favorites.

Ooh, TerrorVision is on Netflix. I might have to check that out, now. It's been languishing in my queue for a few months now...

Terrorvision! That's one of the most surreal movies ever. And it has Uncle Rico from Napoleon Dynamite as the douchebag punk-rock boyfriend. Never thought I'd see this one on blu-ray.

MIRACLE MILE
is at the top of my wishlist. The DVD looks like crap and it's P&S/Fullscreen.

I'm aware of those, but each one simply ports over an old laser-disc transfer. And of the new Full Moon line of Blu-Rays, only the sequels from Trancers (Full Moon productions) are in the works. I know Wiki isn't a rock solid source, but as far as who owns the original film masters/negatives to most of the Empire catalog, it is MGM.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empire_...ional_Pictures

Also from looking at that list it appears that TerrorVision (I hadn't heard of it) is in fact an Empire Pictures title so perhaps the chances of finally getting a good widescreen (and HD!) transfer of Trancers are decent.

Laserdisc transfer or not, those releases probably wouldn't exist if MGM is the rights holder to the film. MGM does hold most of the Empire Pictures library, but there are exceptions such as Creepozoids (Lakeshore Entertainment), Eliminators (apparently 20th Century Fox) and Re-Animator (appears to be owned independently by Re-Animator, Inc.).

The Empire Pictures catalog have a very interesting selection. Is "Ghost Town" and "Cellar Dweller" or still wrapped up with Charles Band?

Edit: Well, according to Wikipedia (obviously not the go to place for accurate information):

"To this day, the film has never been released on a region 1 DVD and as of February 26, 2010, MGM has no current plans to release the film onto DVD".

If that's the case, I can see Scream Factory rolling this title out in one of their DVD double or triple bills. Of course, it'd be ideal to see it hit Blu-ray... I mean c'mon the director of "Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood" and the writer / creator of "Child's Play". How can you go wrong?

Cliff, another non-horror request I have is The Adventures of The American Rabbit. I'm not a fan of this film but a friend of mine on Facebook is and I think it would make him happy if made a new edition with a remastered widescreen transfer. Is there any animated films included in the MGM deal?

Just finished TerrorVision. Never heard of it before yesterday. It was.. Something else. Frankenhooker meets Night of the Comet type vibe. Enjoyable for a fun cheesy and wacky time, but not sure if id buy. Def not at $19.99. Would probably grab for $9.99

Really looking forward to see what each Friday holds for us, Cliff! It's been said time and time again but we really appreciate your hard work and dedication to giving these films the treatment we've all desired. Have you already selected next Friday's announcement? Will we be hearing about more than one film again? Thanks in advance!
