Doubtful, I don't see them doing that. I may be wrong though.

Nobody knows who has the rights. It's like one of those big long-running mysteries, like the whereabouts of Amelia Earhart or that mob union guy who disappeared in the 70's

At this point Id settle for Echo Bridge or Mill Creek if FN II was in the original aspect ratio

Don't give Sony any ideas. Unless it is paired with the original in a year or two.

Me too.i'd love it to have all the bells and whistles but anything would be better than that crappy dvd.I've actually got a feeling this one may come from scream, just got a hunch Sony/LG don't have the rights and that Cliff or Jeff went all Sherlock and secured it.Probably just me being hopefful.

I certainly hope your hunch is correct. I'd love it if there were a commentary with Tommy Lee Wallace, William Ragsdale, and Traci Lind.

I am going to get to see the original and re-make of Night of the living dead, Zombie, The Return of the Living Dead, and Friday the 13th all on the big screen in September as part of a three day FantaCon festival in Albany, NY. Anyone in the surrounding area should come http://fantacon.com/events.php

A Vista production that was sold by Markets and formats, in the US, Tri-Star Pictures (Now Sony) had the theatrical rights, I.V.E. had the home video rights.(I.V.E. became Live Entertainment, then Live Entertainment became Artisan Entertainment and Artisan Entertainment was bought by Lionsgate) The DVD was released by Artisan Entertainment in Aug 2003, so the assumption by the majority is that is at Lionsgate. People have stated the TV rights are with Paramount (I cannot confirm or deny this).

Cliff has said on several occasions, though, that Sony has the general rights to it.

What!! I dont't know about that. I'm thinking he's going of by the theatrical distributor, Tri-Star, and that is totally incorrect.

Either way, it's an underrated sequel that needs a re-release.

While I don't doubt that this is true, but it never came up in my feed and I can't seem to locate the comment on the "Scream Factory" page.
