Holy crap, I said the same thing in May/June when I drove to Suncoast looking for titles from Lincoln NE. They did have Phantasm 2 in stock at the time but wanted 29.99 for it and I said forget that, and ordered it online. I thought for sure they'd have more though... it sucks not finding them locally.

The only piece of evidence I had of their continuing existence was their logo on the back of an fye gift card I got around Christmastime.

Speaking of stores carrying Scream Factory titles, last week I went to a local retail/pawn style store and picked these up brand new:



I also went back the next day and got Prison & Phantasm II. I guess I am one of the spoiled ones that don't have to wait/pay for shipping.

I despise those cases. I had to make my own case for Gremlins 2 because the spindle broke. It also happened with Batman Returns. This was before blu-raya of these titles existed.

There's really no mystery. Universal owns the rights. Shout/ Scream have licensed the right from Universal to put it out on specific home video formats (DVD and BD), while Universal probably still hold on to the rights for streaming/ VOD.

You really gotta get a region-free player. I have the UK Arrow Blu and it's fantastic in every department. There's really no point in sitting around begging companies for movies when there are other options

You know, I fought getting a region free player for a long time but know that I got one I can't understand why, it feels so nice not having to worry if a disc is region locked or not. Worthy investment for sure.

Has anyone ever noticed any strange charges or billing practices associated with Shout! Factory?

There's a strange charge in by bank account statement today.

07/17/13 SHOUT! FACTORY,101380692X439A $80.73

I haven't ordered anything direct from Shout Factory since their sale in March so I am confused by seemingly fradulent charge identified as a Shout! Factory purchase today. I double checked my Shout Factory log-in order history and see no additional purchases. Am I somehow overlooking something?

YES ! Amoeba Records and Rasputin - There are both Rasputin and Amoeba in SF and Berkeley - you can google them to call and see if they have what youre looking for

You can also try Green Apple also in SF
