I had the same problem a few weeks ago with Terror Train. Never bought it, then I finally get it and it is without the slip cover. Found someone selling a like new copy with the slipcover on Amazon that I got for $17. Amazon's third party sellers, eBay, or Half.com would be your best bets. If they don't say it has the slip cover in the description, ask them.

That Echo Bridge deal would have been cool, but there's still plenty of amazing stuff coming out. I'm particular psyched for Darkman, Cat People, and Eve Of Destruction. Love those films.

They've already made deals with Fox for Shout and Scream, that's how they got Terror Train.

I'm having the same probs w/slipcovers as a lot of people here. Just received Funhouse from Amazon and no slipcover. Just went back to Suncoast for another stop and they had gotten a copy of Halloween II in, but...no slipcover. Despite reports from Shout! that these slipcovers are not limited, I'm starting to question that.

**NEW KEY ART REVEAL!**

Check out the newly-designed key art for our upcoming Blu-ray Collector's Edition of John Carpenter's ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13, nicely illustrated by artist James Rheem Davis.

As most of you already knpw, we just announced this release last week at Comic Con and is planned for November. No additional info on our new extras at this time.
[Show spoiler]
I think this is the first scream art I like, but I already own the current release so I'm not sure if I'm getting this.

Think about all the people who get damaged slipcovers who go somewhere else and buy another copy, then return that copy without a slipcover... I can't help but wonder if this is not what is happening. Some retailers do trash the covers, but from reading posts on this forum I see a lot of people who go and take slipcovers from other copies of movies... then don't seem to realize that means someone else down the road will not get a slipcover as a result.

Cliff answered on that one last week or so (it's my personal most requested title)--- he said they'd like to release it and have looked into it... but nothing "closed" at this time....

Yes, they should really do something about that and investigate about what happens. They need to communicate about this.

Also, what is their customer service doing about this matter?
Do they provide free slips to the buyers that didn't receive any?
I think it's not something they can do but who knows...

Here in France slipcovers are shrinkwrapped with the blu-ray box inside. It would solve the matter. Arrow in the UK did the same when they offered slipcovers.
I always feel strange each time I receive my import blu-rays from the US with the slipcovers that aren't shrinkwrapped. It's really a strange way to proceed to me. Slipcovers get lost, damaged, it's stupid.

Most people and most retailers regard slipcovers as excess packaging. I throw them in the trash. I imagine a lot of retailers just trash them as well. I really doubt that any company is particularly concerned about this. If enough people complain, they'll just stop using slipcovers altogether. That's the easiest way to put this issue to rest.

Best Buy doesn't. Target doesn't. Wal-Mart doesn't. Amazon doesn't. Granted YMMV, but that's the exception, not the rule, in this case(or slipcase if you will). That's a pretty big chunk of the Blu-ray retail sector.
Barnes & Noble is about the only retailer I know of that discards slipcovers on a large level.
Furthermore, you are seeing more retail exclusive slipcovers being released. Which tells me that they are so popular retailers are going out of their way to market them.
Sorry, slipcovers aren't going anywhere any time soon!
So keep doing your part and throw them in the recycle bin so more can be made. All of us slipcover fans appreciate your support.

But it can't compare to the genre blockbuster that is Poltergeist III!
