DVDEmpire has faulty information. Paramount is rereleasing the wrong Fade to Black, not the cool 1980 film.

If they did they still wouldn't, as they just released them both on DVD yet again this past December.
Back about 5 years ago I did some research with a producer out in California. He claimed after making some phone calls that Sony of all companies actually owned the movie. It had been Tri-Star at one time then went to Sony who I am guessing gave AB the US rights? Not sure how that all works for that was what this guy said.

Yeah, assuming it is Sony, that's who they temporarilly got the rights from. They don't 'own' it, just like Halloween is actually owned by Trancas.

FWIW I've noticed that Half Priced Books seems to carry an assortment of Shout Factory overstock (i.e. Slumber Party Massacre set, Elviria collections, etc) with hole punched UPCs so I suspect Shout Factory sells recalled or overstock items in bulk to chain outlets. It seems random so would be hard to predict what would turn up where.

The hole punched upc's are typically found on their Screeners.

True, but companies also call these "cut outs" and are sold at a massive discount. Check out any Big Lots display.

Excellent news!

Haven't seen the Cabal Cut yet but I can only assume that it's a lot better than the original release. I watched the theatrical cut recently and told my bf that even if I hadn't known about the Cabal Cut beforehand, it still feels like an incomplete film.

That being said, it'd be nice to get both cuts at least for comparison's sake.

The Town That Dreaded Sundown and Swamp Thing arrived today. Can't wait to watch them both. I watched The Nest yesterday and it was extremely fun.

You know what would be cool? If Shout! Factory could make a deal with Miramax for some of the titles that Echo Bridge now has. They could finally give proper editions to Hellraiser 3, Halloween 6, Four Rooms, etc.

I'm pretty sure Lionsgate and Echo Bridge's rights are long-term and exclusive to every format.

But yeah, Hellraiser 3 is actually my favorite sequel.
And I wish Echo Bridge would do it and Children of the Corn 2 (my favorite sequel too) which they haven issued on BD yet. And I think Children of the Corn: Revelations too. That company's a mess... Smh.

Is it safe to assume that one of the Scream Factory titles for 2014 is The Company of Wolves, being an ITC title?

Yeah. I watched a clip on YouTube and it seemed to be a comedy. I couldn't quite realize what was happening.

Default U suck shout factory !!!!!

And I'll tell you why but first let me say to all my Blu ray buddies... Don't order from them directly. I'm still waiting for a response to my, "where the hell is my FOG Blu ray," question. I cancelled my amazon order cause I wanted that poster( that I could have just printed on my color printer for free) so I reorder the Fog from shout at the start of July. I still have no emails from them saying it shipped or anything.
Shout is the worst at getting back to people! I emailed them last Friday because I forgot my password and they just emailed me back last night. I still don't have the fog, I emailed them about the status... Still no answer! This is the last time I order from them. I'll stick with amazon! Wishing now I didn't cancel my first order from amazon for this.

That's my deep thought of the day. Sorry I just needed to vent guy

Also, with the ITC library now at Shout! Factory's disposal, would any deals with Synapse still be in place?

Perhaps they could release a combo of Stepfather 2&3 to go along with Shout!'s release of the first (even if they do it TTDS/Evictors style).
