I really enjoyed the American version too but I must admit that LET THE RIGHT ONE IN deserves to be in classic status. It's my favorite vampire film since 1985's FRIGHT NIGHT and before that 1979's DRACULA and SALEM'S LOT. |

Let the Right One In is definitely a modern day vampire classic. However, the greatest vampire film ever made is and probably always will be the original Fright Night in my opinion. Horror movies in general don't get much better than that one.

The quintessential Vampire Movie for me will always be Bram Stokers Dracula. Even with it's flaws, I first saw it on HBO when i was 10/11 years old back in the early 90's (my folks had taped it as well) and I've always loved the first hour or so of that film. Yeah it tends to drag on at parts, but when I think Dracula/vampires I always think this movie first. (Oddly enough these memories are followed by seeing Interview with a Vampire as a kid, and then 30 Days of Night a few years back).

Karen Black contributed to my THE PYX disc, and due to schedule conflict, couldn't meet her, but wish I did, as I would have loved to ask her about PORTNOY'S COMPLAINT! |

I don't have the BD. But I see no static line in the caps from the BD, only in the caps from the DVD?

The line in question, isn't a solid line, and it's very, very faint. Static probably isn't the right decription. It more like a series of pinhole-esque marks very near, but not quite at the edge of the frame. http://caps-a-holic.com/hd_vergleich...y=10#vergleich http://caps-a-holic.com/hd_vergleich...y=27#vergleich http://caps-a-holic.com/hd_vergleich...y=23#vergleich http://caps-a-holic.com/hd_vergleich...y=15#vergleich I really didn't notice the line while watching the film from my usual position, only when I was standing almost immediately in front of the screen, and only if I was looking for it. |
