Thumbs up

So I noticed the TerrorVision Blu-Ray was suspiciously absent from the Scream Factory news post on the blu-ray.com main page...

I finally just read into the comments section on the Scream Factory facebook page... I guess I misunderstood the announcement and TerrorVision is only coming to DVD? Or has it not been decided yet?

If it is a Blu-Ray release it will be a day one buy for me, but a DVD would be a huge downgrade in picture quality from the HD version on my DVR

The MGM HD master seems like it is in great shape.

I guess I will just have to hope for the best!

It's true that it hasn't been confirmed whether "TerrorVision" will be getting a Blu-ray or DVD edition released but I'm willing to bet everything that it will get the Blu-ray treatment. It's such a sought after title so to make that title the first one subjected to a DVD only release would seem very unlikely. Time shall tell though. Maybe, Cliff can chime in and clear the air on this one.

The official announcement won't be for awhile.

Seriously? The same sequel that earned critical raves and made Gene Siskel's list of the 10 best of 1990? It's far better than "Sucks with a Vengeance" and the fourth film -- not even close.

Anyway, glad I don't have the same tastes you do...lol.

True, Vengeance is mediocre.

Hey Cliff, maybe it's too early to tell but just curious if you guys have an indication of how well H2 and H3 have been selling so far? Thanks!

Great to hear, Cliff. They are excellent releases! Sorry to nag you again on the issue of NYCC, but do you think "Terror Train" and "The Funhouse" will be sold at the Shout booth that weekend?

Not surprised since everyone has been waiting for releases like them on both formats (especially on DVD since we can now retire our old Universal discs).

I'm not sure. It's possible as they are both done.

Sounds good, Cliff. I'll only be attending Saturday but I wanted to swing by the Shout booth and shoot the breeze with whoever was working the booth so being able to pick up any titles will be a bonus.

Cool... I'm not sure who is going.
I'll be at the big Horrorhound Weekemd in November. Jamie Lee Curtis' one and only convention appearance

Oh awesome, Cliff. My buddy and I will be attending the Horrorhound show as well. It's a 2 autograph limit for her... I'm torn. I know I'm getting my original "Halloween II" which has well over 10 signatures on it already but I'm not sure if I'm going to add her to my original "Halloween" 1-sheet since it would make sense but apart of me wants to get her on my original Style B of "The Fog". Decisions, decisions... Will you have a booth at Horrorhound or simply just walking around as a fan?

I don't think we'll have a booth. Still in the planning stage.

Where is The Fog, The Howling, The Town That Dreaded Sundown, the big releases everyone is talking about!?

Ahh well, there's always next week. If they they have the licenses to any of these huge titles, next week is the time to at least announce one. It's great the so far announced titles have never been released on DVD and/or only in shoddy releases, but they are still not titles too many people have been clamoring for or are REALLY excited about.

Please, next week throw out a title that will blow our minds, and will have pages of excitement like when Halloween 2 and 3, Phantasm 2, ect. were announced! Give us The Howling, The Fog, Prince of Darkness, The Town That Dreaded Sundown, ect.!
I hear ya. When I heard they'd be announcing a new title every Friday I was wrongfully expecting a film of that caliber every week.

I mean they started with some HUGE titles. Halloween 2, Halloween 3, They Live, Funhouse, Phantasm II and Terror Train. There hasn't been a title since those that I've been overly excited about.

Then again, I'll probably buy them all regardless, so I guess the jokes on me!

AHHH!!! So you've never seen Cliffhanger? One of the best action films from the 90's, Gotcha!

Of course I've seen Cliffhanger. I don't think it's particularly great. Watchable, sure. But it's rather low on the list of priorities in regard to films to pick on BD. Like I said, anything with his name sits there.
