It's an adopted baby. Paramount never really wanted anything to do with it from Day 1 and was all too willing to sell their rights to Universal in 1968.

Universal was also something of a surrogate parent since it was filmed on their lot.

- Final extras for THE VINCENT PRICE COLLECTION (10/22) and JOHN CARPENTER'S BODY BAGS (11/12) will be announced by end of Aug. NIGHT OF THE COMET's will be early Sept.

- Update on THE VINCENT PRICE COLLECTION: We had originally intended to include the U.S. version of WITCHFINDER GENERAL known as CONQUEROR WORM, but due to some unforeseen legal issues, we were told we would need to remove a scene from the film. Sine we felt the fans would have been unhappy that a scene was cut from the film, so we decided to drop the U.S. version of the film instead of editing the film. Sorry guys, we tried.

- We can confirm upcoming Dec street dates for the following titles: SATURN 3 (12/3), TV TERRORS (12/10), THE BEAST WITHIN (12/17), CRAWLSPACE (12/17). Pre-order links will appear early next month.

- We are thisclose to closing two deals that will bring three popular 80s horror favorites to Blu-ray for the first time. As soon as we can get the official "OK" to share, we will let you know what they are.
Sleepaway Camp, maybe?

I was thinking about that myself. The Sleepaway Camp Trilogy (COMING OCTOBER 2014)!

EDIT: But wait. Sleepaway Camp 3 is 1990, isn't it? They said three '80s Classics. Guess they might not all be related.

I think at some point they shot down the sequels. I don't really know why those and not the original.

Yes. But they are owned by independent producers, and it said a NEW deal with TWO companies for THREE movies. It only makes sense.

That's true but if the last few years of DVD and Blu-ray releases have taught me anything is never say never

I like your guesses but Ill switch

Sleepaway Camp
Fight Night 2
Without Warning

Ok those are wish list guesses but they are popular and sound like good logical fits
Could Slumber Party Massacre be one of the three ?
Silent Night Deadly Night ???
Shocker ?
The Burbs ?

One thing to keep in mind here.

3 films, but only 2 deals. 2 of the films must be from the same licensor.

People is 1991 - I just checked - so bzzzzzzzzzzt ! wrong
Love the theory of 2 deals - 1 per studio - that makes sense -
2 films - Universal - We get Shocker and the Burbs
1 film Without Warning , Fright Night II or Sleepaway Camp
Or 2 Films Anchor Bay Sleepaway Camp and Silent Night Deadly Night

Yeah I just saw that also on IMDB I don't know why I was thinking people was 80s close though. I would be happy with any of those especially Silent Night Deadly Night and The Burbs. Really want those.
