Spielberg, though...Spielberg himself might have enough power to make that happen. Warner still poses a challenge, though. |

I think that also makes sense - the titles we have guessed are all logical but will they be a reality. I sincerely hope its something many of us will be happy with instead of a select handful that really like the movie while the rest of us are like meh, ho hum,

I can't quite get behind this because the movie wasn't in theaters when the set was released. It was complete up to a point, minus Four Rooms, as demonknight mentioned, with the bonus of True Romance. |

![]() Warner has several Spielberg titles, so they could do the box. They have Twilight Zone, Empire of the Sun, Color Purple... It's a start. If any company could put it together (just for the "best of"), it would be Universal. |

The Tarantino collection didn't include From Dusk till Dawn either.

Another thing that bothered me about that set. STOP SPLITTING UP GRINDHOUSE!!! They should have put in Planet Terror because it was the first half of a combo film done by Rodriguez AND Tarantino. They also left out Sin City. He guest directed a scene.

BUT... Most importantly they (or "DreamWorks" atleast) have "Munich" and STILL have done nothing with it. I hold it in high regard when it comes to his best works. Last edited by thompsonjohn; 08-20-2013 at 02:17 AM. |

Didn't he "only write" "True Romance" as well too? Atleast he starred in "From Dusk til Dawn", but I still prefer "True Romance" to that film, nothing against it. Tony Scott just made a better film.
Also raises the question, he also wrote "Natural Born Killers" I believe, but I remember him saying the finished product is so far removed from what he wrote he didn't take the writing credit on it? I'm going on memory here so correct me if I'm wrong. |

Also, companies should work together to make box sets of spiritual trilogies, like Universal is bound to do with the Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy.
Criterion should do The Imagination Trilogy, already owning Brazil and with Time Bandits being Image. Lionsgate should do The New Jersey Trilogy. Paramount should do The Running Man Trilogy. Warner/Universal should do The Apocalypse Trilogy, using Scream Factory's release of Prince of Darkness. |

Yeah he wrote NBK's screenplay but for the reasons you stated he only took "story by" credit.

Correct. He chose his favorite films from the 20 years that he had been working though. I guess that included Death Proof and True Romance, instead of From Dusk Till Dawn and "The Man from Hollywood" segment of Four Rooms.

Also, why did True Romance have to end happily? Alabama should have ended up running into Harvey Keitel (Saturn 3) and running off with Mr. White. |

I was mainly referring to the feature length films that he solely directed (I understand True Romance wasn't his, but his script was the key to it's success). Four Rooms was a collaborative effort and he only directed a fraction of it.
The Kubrick set was also mentioned but that's missing several films from his filmography. Last edited by Ruemorgue10; 08-20-2013 at 02:35 AM. |
