Meh, just a writing SNAFU (maybe a budget SNAFU too), which all us longtime horror fans know is common within the genre. I just thought it was funny.

I doubt Scream will ever get the first one. AB will be milking that one, from now until the end of time.

There is no doubt involved. AB will never let the first one out of their tight grasp. It is their cash cow.

You heard wrong. Just a fan's pipe dream. Anchor Bay also has 4&5 (more moneymakers), and Echo Bridge has the last three (so, a flat out no).

Halloween 4 and 5 will probably stay with AB also since they are both owned by Moustapha Akkad's company and they seem to like releasing there films with AB.

No. Scream Factory's version of Halloween II will (probably) be the best one that we ever get. Keeping this in mind, they would not re-release it. (Also, Universal released a 30th Anniversary Edition a few years back.)

Italy

Hi to everyone!
I'm from Italy and i'd like to know if in this topic the following titles have been discussed for possible Scream Factory release:

SPELLCASTER
THE SUPERNATURALS
THE PREY
GHOST TOWN
SILENT MADNESS
SCREAM OF A WINTER NIGHT

No one has ever been released here in Italy, so i'll be glad to finally see these titles!

Any info about?

No word on any of those, although "Ghost Town" would be ripe for inclusion on a future All Night Horror Marathon release.

This would be a good film for Scream to get their hands on, if for no other reason so that they can include the Producer's cut of the film in the best possible condition we could ever hope to see. And although it's been a confirmed "no" many times over, I'd Love for Scream to get their hands on the first 4 Hellraiser films. First so we can finally get Part 3, but even more importantly so we can get a much more complete package for 2 and 4 rather then the bare bones affair currently available.

Their page is dead on the weekends, so I'd bet we don't get anything until Monday at the earliest.

Since we have all decided scream are going to announce the 1st 3 Sleepaway Camps(thats what i think too btw)what if we are wrong, what does anyone else think the alternatives might be?.The assumption that this might be an smaller indie deal would seem to rule out the usual guesses like Shocker etc,but whats left?.Fright Night part 2,Without Warning.Nightflyers, watchers? who knows?

It's probably somewhere between here and here.

I honestly don't think the announcements are the Sleepaway Camp films. I would love the set, but I don't think they are included in this announcement. I think Motel Hell is one of the three. For the other two, I have no idea.
