I should have known it'd be Night of the Demons and Witchboard. Though with the latter, I got confused with Witchcraft to the point of requesting an Alison Pregler fan commentary.

I only became familiar with the Sleepaway Camp films last year and Im not young or new to horror I read about them though and finally watched them...this year I have taken in a whole slew of horror movies that I hadn't given much thought

It looks like the Witchboard DVD had a commentary and making of. On Facebook there was talk of him doing a commentary if this got released again ..I bet Scream can make their own making of

Awesome announcements, can't wait to pick these up. Since these were both old Anchor Bay releases, I wonder who owns the rights to something like Fear no Evil, or Dead Next Door.

I think Fear No Evil is a StudioCanal title since it was originally an AVCO Embassy film. I have a feeling MGM does not have US rights in this case, so it might be Lionsgate.

As for Dead Next Door, your guess is as good as mine.

Actually, I wouldn't mind if Pregler gets in on a new commentary if she say, were to interview the director.

Back then. It was pronounced WOO-DY. She was hot as hell reminds me of the 80's and my youth.

agreed. All three Sleepaway Camp movies are good in their own ways. Basically cheap slasher movies from the 80's. The sequels (especially part 2) are entertaining and almost non-stop killing. I remember in the short runtime there being just tons of cheesy kills.

As for Night of the Demons, GREAT news! SO much better than the lousy remake. I remember watching it for the first time on VHS many years ago and just loving it.

Side note....I know MGM owns the 1988 movie, Scarecrows. Any idea if this would be a potential Scream release at some time? It has tons of atmosphere and was one of the better low budget horror movies from the 80's in my opinion.

Just this year I took in a lot of horror movies - recently I checked out slashers ..some of what Ive seen

Messiah of Evil
The Final Terror
Girls Nite Out
XRay
Eyes Without A Face
Night of the Scarecrow
Blood Sisters
Witchboard
Witchboard II
Mothers Day
Madhouse
976-Evil
The Unseen
Evilspeak
Silent Scream
Boogeyman 1980
Silent Night Deadly Night 1,2, and 3
Eyes of A Stranger
The Burbs
Corruption
One Dark Night
Scalps
Slayer
Prom Night
Prom Night II
Slaughter High
Graduation Day
Killer Party
Slumber Party Massacre
Sleepaway Camp 1,2,3
Schizoid
Godsend
Cellar Dweller
Ghostkeeper
New Years Evil
Nosferatu (silent)

I was determined to watch as many as I could because I felt like I was missing out by not checking out some horror films. Id hate to be the movie watcher that I am and not watch movies in one of my favorite genres. I wanted to dive back into the horror genre. Most of these were so-so, I couple I thought were awful and some were keepers And it was fun to watch and Im still checking out horror movies that I haven't seen. Certain ones, genres , low budget Code Red types. Im waiting for Curtains from Synapse !
