Finally got around to watching The Vampire Lovers. What a great job on this! I really hope Shout can get more Hammers to Blu, along with classic AIP.

Glad to hear that. I bought it but have not had time to watch it. I'll save it for October. I can have a Hammer Horror Blu Weekend with Dracula: Prince of Darkness, The Vampire Lovers, Vampire Circus, Twins of Evil and Hands of The Ripper.

Legend needs to release more on blu-ray.

Then again, a lot of their stuff didn't look too great and was short on Special Features.

Personally I hope not. We need more 80s and 90s horror.

Just finished watching THE INCREDIBLE MELTING MAN bluray and I forgot how bad it truly was. My first exposure to it was through MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000 and with the comments and jokes to the side, I remember it being bad but wow it turns comical with its dialog and awkward beats throughout. I love the interviews with the director and Rick Baker. Its hard to tell if the director really was telling the truth about trying to make the film intentionally funny or he's blowing smoke after the fact. Baker was brutally honest about working on it and thats refreshing to hear. With this interview and Jamie Lee Curtis on THE FOG, Scream has been really starting to take it to the next level. I'll give the commentary a listen on the next viewing but overall I'm very happy with the disc. The transfer was pretty good and I always love trailers from back in the day. Flaws to the side, its still a fun watch.

I thought it was only 2K along with Bride of re-animator too? If it is 5K that is even better.

Anyone watch Dark Angel/I Come In Peace blu-ray yet? What did you think of the PQ?

I like film grain, but the grain in this film was kind of driving me a little nuts and seemed to make the PQ not so good. Was wondering what you guys thought of the release?

It wasn't so much the grain for me but how old the transfer was with not as much detail is I hoped for. Still it's better than the DVD.

Yeah, the detail was pretty poor. So this if from an old master? Guess it would have looked better if it was a new scan. Oh well, better then no blu at all.

Yeah apparently it's an old TV master made quite a few years ago, that explains the paramount logos at the start and ending of the film.

Has anyone here seen the 1987 Italian slasher film Stage Fright? I only recently learned about it, but I was sold when I heard the killer wears a freaky owl mask. Anchor Bay put this title out on DVD in 2002, don't know who has the rights now, but would love for Scream Factory or Synapse to put it out on Blu-ray.

It's being released in the UK on Blu-ray but I don't know when.

Stage Fright is great. The director, Michele Soavi, also did Cemetery Man, which I would love to see eventually get a release.

I hope SO, we have gotten plenty of 80s horror..90s to a lesser extent but a lot of us want more Corman, Poe, Hammer, Amicus , Tigon , if they are available
For the 1990s Id love Mosquito and Demon Knight for starters

Sleepaway Camp, damn I love that movie. First time I saw that ending and the cheesy music that plays at the reveal, the stupidity of it just caught me completely off guard....in a good 80s cheesefest kind of way

I hope you're being facetious. Classic horror is woefully under represented on Blu ray. Personally, I find the 80's and 90's to miss the mark on horror. Slashers. Meh.
