Speaking of old cataloge movies Lionsgate really needs to get of their asses with the horror movie titles they own or let someone else release them.
I get that they only focus is Hunger Games but come on with out all those horror movies making money they wouldn't be shit.

I agree 100%. They're such a large company today, and they are essentially the end result of a bunch smaller companies being absorbed in the late 90's/early 2000's, that I don't understand why they don't spin off a smaller Subsidiary (Like Scream Factory) and let that smaller group work with the Huge back catelog of Horror movies they're just sitting on. Lionsgate could reap the profits but keep it's name off of the Horror stuff, while we could finally get these titles regardless of whose name is on the box. Hell revive one of the old labels they absorbed for shits and giggles.. I know I'd appreciate it. (Artisan, Trimark, Vestron, etc.)

+1 for Vestron Video or Lightning Video as a Scream Factory-esque sublabel.

Someone else who feels my pain. I want the lionsgate of early 2000s not Tyler Perry, Hunger Games Lionsgate.

I'd seen both 1 & 2 numerous times growing up, but had essentially forgotten almost everything about part one until I was re-watching it, and now I understand why. It's such a lame movie, that I am honestly amazed at how good part 2 (and even 3) is by comparison. I'd love for all 3 to be released just for completion sake, but 2 & 3 are the ones that need top priority.
See the 4th one. Lionsgate has Part 3 (in fact, it just got a DVD release). A double feature of 1&2 would be the only possibility.

Instead of Lionsgate, it could be called Hellgate.

This is a really good idea, one i can't believe the people of LG are not considering. There is clearly a boom in horror on blu-ray at the moment and as a additional revenue stream it makes perfect sense. It's not as if they need to license titles.

This just hit me, if Scream Factory releases Witchboard and Night of the Demons in early 2014, there just might be enough revived interest for Olive to release Witchboard 3, as well as Night of the Demons 3 next October.

Also, to any interested parties, Kevin Tenney and Anthony Hickox were working together to get a sequel to the Night of the Demons remake started, entitled Night of the Demons: After-Party. The Kickstarter may still be happening. EDIT: The Kickstarter ended a month and a half ago.

No. It's not too much to ask. I asked him for a reason.

If you didn't want to wait for Synapse to maybe release the sequels, there's also the UK release:

Region free, but some of the special features are 1080/50i or SD-PAL and may not be compatible with certain Region A Blu-Ray / HDTV setups.

...and yes demonknight, I know you're against importing.

Also the transfers for all 3 films are great, a good upgrade from the DVDs.

Picture quality is 4/5. The colours are brilliant and vibrant, blacks are deep and dark and there is some great detail. It is a very clean image and it really looks great! Unfortunately it looks as though there was an attempt to scrub the grain away - which creates a somewhat smoother images but obscures some detail - you guys know the drill with that.
