Awesome to see "Bad Dreams" and "Visiting Hours" making the HD leap plus new bonus features. This has double dip gladly written all over it

I hated the film, but that seems like a pretty well-designed and representative cover.

Huh. Wow. That's....wow.

I've never seen Night of the Demons, but that cover definitely makes me want to!

I'm glad Bad Dreams & Visiting Hours is making the leap to high-def but I think I'm going to use the DVD cases to keep the discs in as I'm not a big fan of "split screen" covers. The original artwork for both films is good enough that they deserve the full-size treatment.

And we get that equally as glorious original poster too, as usual!
2 fantastic posters!

I agree that Night of the Demon cover isn't very well done... but also wonder if the design isn't intentionally campy/bad to evoke a thrash cinema vibe, an approach that might be genius if by design.

Otherwise, the new art lacks subtlety with a lot of wasted space on the top and is too busy on the bottom; never mind the stiff figures with awkward Quigley facial expression (her eyes are out of synch with her facial orientation line of sight, maybe that's suppose to be creepy). Is that even the same house as in the movie? No gate? Plus the fake worn paper look is really getting cliche. It's funny and amusing, but not at "face value".

same here, love the artwork. It fits the movie perfectly. One of the better horror movies from the 80's IMO.

It looks like Scream Factory is very much back on track and full steam ahead with some great recent announcements. This recent stuff is all worth the excitement.

agreed, man she was MY 80's scream queen. Silent Night, Deadly Night, Return of the Living Dead...both are among my favorite movies of all time and her and her perfectly 80's boobies are front and center on both titles. haha!

I really hope they consider Silent Night, Deadly Night. That movie would perfectly suit their catalogue, plus it needs better extras. And you'd get two awesome art covers as usual. It doesn't need to be released in December, I'd buy that immediately!
Also, as people have mentioned, Dawn of the Dead and Escape From New York would rock. Ooh, Return of the Living Dead! And please, please, Night of the Living Dead, the original, would make me a happy camper!
It'd be nice to see them go back and bring some of their DVD only Roger Corman titles to blu-ray, like the Slumber Party Massacre trilogy and Not of this Earth, among others.
But I'm getting a little out of hand here, thanks Shout/Scream for all you do. You're doing great right now!

ever since the release of the Blu-Ray format I've been waiting, and waiting for a Silent Night, Deadly Night release. It's so perfect for an Arrow / Scream Factory release. I continue to be stunned that it hasn't been released. It's spawned 4 sequels, a remake and has a ton of history behind it. At this point I will be surprised if it is ever released in HD. Especially since last holiday season we got yet another DVD of part 1 and 2 on DVD, same features and old transfer from 1999 if I'm not mistaken.

For some reason she never grabbed me like Michelle Bauer did...speaking of which I wouldn't mind a Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers Blu.

My two cents:

Silent Night, Deadly Night:
Anchor Bay still has it and they didn't cash it in on blu, along with their remake, so I doubt they ever do.

Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers:
Is it still with Director Fred olen Ray (RetroMedia)? I'd assume he owns it.
I'd love to see them team up, maye even get in Scalps.

Night of the Living Dead / Dawn:
Dawn is currently being transferred to 3D, so as of now its not only a no-go, but a very expensive, no-go.
Night is an even bigger "NO", because its Public Domain and they'd never make the money they put into it back, at least not on blu-ray. Unfortunately.

Slumber Party Massacre Set:
All 3 would be great, they don't seem too interested in doing it, but keep buggin 'em, we might get it one day soon.

Arrow did it on DVD so I am thinking they might do a blu eventually too. As far as a stateside release, well yeah that DVD re-issue last year makes it look like that might not be happening anytime too soon, would be sweet if it did happen soon though.
