That NoTD deal must've been in the works for a while because they already have artwork for it.

The ignorance of some people astounds me. Somebody on the Facebook page just recommended that Scream Factory get the film, A Boy and His Dog, which was just released by Shout Factory.

Cat People was confirmed to be a January release upon its announcement. The other three are just the first three to be given artwork. This calls for the assumption that they will be January releases.

Just because MGM has a deal with Twilight Time doesn't necessarily mean we're going to see them take a slew of potential Scream Factory titles, certainly not the kind that might otherwise warrant a Collector's Edition.

To date, nearly all of TT's BIG Shout! / Scream Factory-esque titles (Fright Night, NotLD90, Christine, Body Double, and The Blob to name a few) have come from Sony.

Fox, TT's other main licensor (and MGM's primary home video distributor), has had a far more even-keeled approach to what they license. Only The Fury, Enemy Mine, The Other and The Driver seem to stand out as titles that might have had some interest to Shout! / Scream Factory. Maybe Journey to the Center of the Earth.

NotLD90, Fright Night, and The Blob are all movies that should be in the hands of Scream and not TT. Add Mindwarp to that list as well.

Off topic: I've never seen Witchboard 2, but I think I will give it a shot because it stars one of my favorite 90's Scream Queens Ami Dolenz (Children of the Night 1991, Ticks 1993, Witchboard 2 1993, and Pumpkinhead 2 1994). It's a travesty that woman never did any nudity.

Hot on the heels of yesterday's big key art reveal of Director Kevin Tenney's Night of the Demons, we present the design for his 1987 possessed-Ouija board film WITCHBOARD which uses the original U.S. theatrical poster art (and hasn't been used on a home video release since its VHS days.)

Although WITCHBOARD will not get the newly-designed art treatment, you'll be happy to know that it will still very much be a 'Special Edition' to celebrate as some great extras are in the works and which will be announced at a later date.

Expect this Blu-ray (for the first time) & DVD combo to be released in early 2014.

That's weird, why no new art for Witchboard if it'll be a Collector's Edition release?

It's not a Collector's Edition.

I'm finding it a lot easier to say NO to some of these recent announcements.

And while that may sound like complaining, it isn't. I have stuff like Bad Dreams and Visiting Hours on DVD and I think I'll stick with those for as much as I've watched those titles.

I'm sure they'll have PLENTY next year that I'll be frothing over so I'm happy to pass on things like the aforementioned movies, and also Crawlspace and The Beast Within.

My wallet breathes a bit of relief.

I guess it's all semantics though - as long as there are extras, it's all good.

Edit: I'm conflating/confusing Collector and Special, apparently. Never mind.

Monkey Shines
The Believers
The First Power
Raw Meat/Death Line
Burnt Offerings
Wow...

I have not thought about The Believers in a while, but I must have watched that movie 50 times when I was in high school. Martin Sheen, Robert Loggia, Jimmy Smits, Helen Shaver, Richard Masur...

I would buy this Blu-ray in a New York minute. This was such a crazy and cool horror movie across the board.

"Culebras! Culebras! Culebras!" Man, oh man...wow.

Haven't seen either. Haven't seen a Friday the 13th movie before. I chose this one because I heard it was the best one. I chose Slither because I liked Super and Elizabeth Banks, as well as Troma.

Watch "Slither." F13 part 6 is one of the better movies in the series, but you really should watch the earlier movies first.

Well, I have Part 6 now... And it could be at least two weeks before I can the the first four... I just know the gist of the first five. Would I be fine?
