Part 4 is the best, for reelz.

Then I'll definitely get the 1-4 collection from the library. I hope that it comes before my hold of Freddy Vs. Jason.

Jason Lives stinks. 1-4 are the real deal, especially 4.

I guess I'll have to make my own decision. Slither will have to wait until tomorrow. After that, I'll finish Carrie.

But then...
-The Prophecy or Alien-

Dumb question. I know the answer. But seriously, is The Prophecy good, or will it be a major letdown like The Reflecting Skin was?

I also love Jason Takes Manhattan.

It's one of the better of the final Paramount's, imo.

Anybody here see Red State? I've been wanting to see it for a while and want to see it before Smith's horror movie for next year, Tusk.

5 is actually one of my favorites, forget what people say, its the Halloween 3 of the F13 movies. Its growing a bigger audience for being so different.

I loved it. Its actually one of my favorites.

Violet's Death in 5 and the retro-dance scene leading up to it is by far my favorite kill from the entire franchise!

Damn Chocolate Bars too...
But those won't give you the sh!ts, they'll just get you killed!

But Jason is in it, in the beginning. And somehow I like to think he was involved in it? Maybe?

Tell me about it. This month is gonna kill me, aside from the "Scream" titles, there's also a lot of other various releases coming out this month that I want.

I'm glad too that there's kinda of less interesting (in my opinion) titles like, essentially everything they announced at Comic-Con ("Nightbreed", aside obviously) coming out.

There's easily $100 worth "Scream" titles coming out with month alone that I want, then there's the new "Halloween" release, the "Friday the 13th" box set.. It's crazy.

I'll be skipping "The Exorcist" release seeing as how I already have the digibook that was released and am more than happy with it.

"Child's Play" isn't exactly a priority to me considering I like maybe two or three films total of the series, and considering no new extras were produced for parts 2 and 3, which are the films of the series I like, I probably will be skipping this release.

Spring for a region-free player and you could already be enjoying all of these! The Arrow discs are superb - excellent transfers, extras, and packaging all around. Aren't there players available for under $80?

Cool cool. I think I'll get the Exorcist digibook since I didn't get the first one; although i already own the standard US and UK release of it haha.

Cliff, I got a question I've been thinking about. Do you order the same amount of pressings for titles from your manufacturer for every title on first pressings? If not, how many do you order for some of the bigger titles compared to ones that might have a smaller audience? Say like "Halloween II" or "The Howling" compared to titles like "Eve of Destruction" or "Death Valley"?

I'm sure the last thing you want is to order x amount of pressings for "Saturn 3" and hypothetically it does considerably less business than expected and now your sitting on whatever amount of copies that you can't move.

Also, if something like what I explained happens, do you then put whatever "slow" title at a lower price-point in hope to move more copies?

Yeah, I agree with the others, even if you have the gist, it's best to watch them in order, though I think you could probably swap Freddy vs. Jason with Jason X.

My favorites in order are 2, 4, 3, 6, 5, 1, 7, FvJ, F13Remake, JGTH, 8, JX. Parts 1 - 4 are the purest, F13iest of the series. After part 4, the series diverges in all sorts of directions, Jason Goes to Hell (my introduction to the series, naturally) being the farthest, and I mean farthest, off the beaten path.

I'll add that after the Halloween season. It's gonna be a rough fit with the nine I have to see already.
