They can't just say "we're releasing this now".

They must get the rights to distribute these films. And if someone else has the right, common sense would tell you they won't be releasing it.

This rule applies to every movie and every distributor.

That's not the matter up for debate. The rights are just probably not within their reach.

Wait. Image will release it bare-bones next year. Possibly in a double feature with House II.

Probably because it is an Italian film and Cliff said he doesn't see Scream releasing any Euro films which I think they most definitely should start doing. Variety is a good thing, they are starting to release some older films so they are switching things up a bit recently so I hope it continues. That reminds me I have had the StageFright Blue underground DVD for years and still have yet to watch it.

I would take that...better than nothing...as long as they were strong presentations of course.

If only Warner didn't own House 4... Scream Factory would have had a DVD, at the very least.

Madman is such a POS haha, no worthy kill scenes and what might be the stupidest looking killer of all time, that movie belongs in a dumpster

That's region free? News to me.

What about the special features?

You do know that nothing is set in stone... Right. I'm no insider. I'm just guessing because of the Creepshow 2 release this year.

So my Halloween II from Amazon came in the mail. Turned out to be the Halloween II from 2009 by Rob Zombie.

Definitely returning it. I am disappoint.

[Show spoiler]I think one of the campers was looking under the hood on the stalled out car and the killer jumped from the roof onto the hood, severing the camper's head.
I can't recall every seeing that type of kill in another movie, prior to that.

I know Shout/ Scream for the most part know what they are doing but sometimes they way they release things is a little baffling to me, especially when they are using them as a barometer to what they will release next.

Ninja 3 - Due to the low sales of this title we probably won't get any more ninja titles on Blu. Was this really the best title to start off with, part 3 of a franchise, and one that is nothing like the previous films in the series?

Vampire Lovers - No confirmation but I heard this one wasn't selling too well and I have a feeling this could hurt them tackling more Hammer titles. Again, was this the best Hammer title to start off with?

Beast of Hollow Mountain/ Neanderthal Man, Die, Monster, Die! - I'm willing to bet they are releasing these to see if there is interest in older films. Again, in my opinion not the most popular/ requested titles of the era to test the market.

Initiation of Sarah / Are You in the House Alone? - Apparently they are using this release to see if there is any interest in TV titles. Apparently Initiation is a decent movie but Are You in the House Alone is supposed to very dull and not a horror movie at all.

Vincent Price Collection - This one is the only one that I don't have too many problems with them using to test the market. A lot of my favourite titles aren't included but there are enough popular ones in there to fairly test interest.

Either way, I hope some of these choices don't ruin the chances of future titles getting released, as although a lot of these movies aren't too bad, they just aren't the best titles to test the market of their represented genre in my opinion.

I have the same problem with Ninja 3. They should at least put out a double release of Enter/Revenge before cancelling all plans.
I had never even heard of any of those titles from the 50s-60s before, and I do my research.
The TV Terrors, I get. Initiation was highly requested and people will buy it for that. My mother, for example, grew up in the 70s and remembers all of these. For years, we have been trying to get a copy of Wes Craven's Stranger in the House. I just want to see before buying. Netflix let me down.
