It was actually from a seller on Amazon. I actually didn't realize that until I had to return it.

I've never received an order from best buy that had 1 or 2 movies in a bubble pack. They have always came in just a white plastic bag. And I know I'm not the only one whos been having the same experience, I've read numerous people complain about the same thing regarding best buys shipping.

Oh man, I would have been so pissed. At least you were able to return it.

Going through the thread "Movies you bought from Amazon that did not include slips" a couple people mentioned Halloween III and somebody mentioned Terror Train. I guess it's nothing new with Scream Factory.

The Fog came with one, but that's a newer one I think.

I've also only had my orders (of a single blu ray each time) arrive in a non-padded plastic wrap, which was fairly easy to tear open with my fingers. Luckily the movies I ordered weren't damaged, just some wear to the corner of the slipcover.

It's with Image Entertainment now and for the forseeable future.

Is there a list of what releases seem to be hardest to come by with slips now?

It could also be handy if it was made, to add websites or sellers which people have received them with slips from.

Rated R version. We were unable to obtain the uncut version.
I'm not sure this was ever shared previously.

This is true, you can count me as having returned around three blu ray's because they were damaged as well.

All shipped in a plastic bag with absolutely no protection.

I no longer order from them online due to this fact.

Did Image get the bulk of the old Anchor Bay horror movies?

Off the top of my head only the New World / Lakeshore Entertainment titles and Re-Animator.

The older/first released titles are the most difficult. All Collectors editions are supposed to come with slips still today, but because people continually return titles to Amazon without them, they in turn resell the same titles to new buyers who then get screwed out of them as well. You are going to have the most luck getting them from stores/sites that don't process a lot of returns as your odds will increase dramatically. I purchased Halloween 3 and The Howling from moviestop.com a few weeks ago and got a slip on the howling but not on Halloween 3, so that site is about 50/50 in my experience. However they did/do have a buy one get one half off sale on many of their scream titles, so the price was good at least. (34.50 for 2 titles shipped).

Film Fan Pete needs to jump on a Vincent Price Collection review.
The Anticipation is killing me, quite frankly.

New World had some good stuff. Image now has several movies I wanted to eventually see in the Shout/Scream line.

It looks like these movies will never be released by Shout.

House 1 & 2
Vamp
No Retreat No Surrender
Creepshow 2
Dead Heat
Hellraiser 1 & 2

Scream needs to consider releasing this. No real DVD releases...think it could be a good seller. You know, part of Scream expanding their scope.

Just wanted to throw my 2 cents in about Amazon and slip covers.
I have always received my Scream Factory titles with their slips but most of those titles were when they were new releases. However recently I ordered older titles TERROR TRAIN and THE FUNHOUSE and they did come with the slips still. Ironically, I (gasp) throw away the slips.
I think from now on I'll keep the slips and hold out for people who would like them.

I personally think SF will keep providing slip covers until that item is OOP.

It's been this long for titles like Halloween II/III, Terror Train, and the older releases. It's upto the discression of the retailer if they ship them with the slipcovers or not. I wouldn't be surprised if some people stopped shipping them just to save a few cents here and there.

I just ordered Halloween 3, fingers crossed for the slip but I won't care if it doesn't have it. I like slips, but I wouldn't ever go to great lengths to buy one.
