It was planned for 3D back when Tobe Hooper was going to direct it but when he was out and or the budget wasn't good enough they decided not to do it.

Phantasm has to be the 3rd titles announcement coming soon from Scream Factory with Synapse picking up Suspiria. 2014 is shaping up to be a great year for Horror as well if this pans out.

Nope. Phantasm is '79. Or '78. The third Scream title is from the '80s.

Scream CAN TRY to get it. And possibly 4, which is owned by the same distributor. Also, maybe Survival Quest for Shout.

What? The third title? I'm okay, no matter what.

Roughly 1/3 to 1/4 of their titles are like this, though.

I was referencing you mentioning that Anchor Bay no longer had Phantasm in the Synapse thread. The large font had to do with the guessing game beginning.

What are we guessing , Scream Factorys 3rd movie ?

It could be Phantasm but that isn't the 1980s (they can get that in the future Id guess) ,
What it could be - Sleepaway Camp
What it should be - Without Warning, the Rift, or Pumpkinhead
What I wish it would be- Without Warning , Fright Night II or Godzilla 1985

What it will wind up being
Max Headroom

Synapse would likely give it an all-new 4k transfer though.

Are Phantasm 1,4, and Survival Quest held by an independent owner? If so, it might cost as much as Synapse says it would. If it's just with MGM, Scream should do it.
