I don't know..I was thinking what else they can do to liven up their page until they announce something. Usually the announcements cause the biggest stir and are by far the most popular thing they do...maybe a few days before they can drop a few hints or clues..
Movie titles are popular to talk about...but what haven't they done to generate that discussion ?
Maybe members recommending titles to other members or something ?

The sales are cool , but for a day one buy guy like me , this wont do me any good !

Yeah, not much for us day 1 guys here. I'll be happy with one of those "out-of-left-field" announcements, though

I think they said on Facebook that they'd only have one or maybe two announcements this month.
Yeah I forgot, slipcovers are a matter of life and death and mean so much more than the quality of the product itself. The humanity for that piece of cardboard

The slipcovers really don't matter to me (not that I've missed any thus far), but some people just have to have them.

I just got my shipment from DiabolikDVD:

Dark Angel
Q: The Winged Serpent
Deadly Blessing (Collector's Edition)
From Beyond (Collector's Edition)
Funhouse (Collector's Edition)
Halloween II (Collector's Edition)
Halloween III (Collector's Edition)
Lifeforce (Collector's Edition)
Phantasm II (Collector's Edition)
Prison (Collector's Edition)
Terror Train (Collector's Edition)

All applicable titles came with slipcovers, and shipping for the lot was only $10. I would definitely recommend ordering from them. Even with the Price is Fright deal, DiabolikDVD's prices are comparable.

I now have all of the SF Collector's Editions to date (with future releases on pre-order) and all of the standard releases I care to own.

I'm mad because I just ordered a BUNCH of SF titles and a few of them are missing slips.

It was an eBay seller so I doubt I'd have much luck doing that, thanks though! If anyone has Halloween III, The Blessing, or the Funhouse slips let me know

Yeah I thought the Image Blu-ray looked great but what were the complaints against that release again? Wasn't in like compression issues or something? If that is the case Scream can still approve on it even with it being the same transfer.

How do people here feel about THE ISLAND?

Its review on this site is very lukewarm relative to other Scream Factory titles, and unlike most SF editions it doesn't seem to come with any extras worth mentioning.

But how is the film? Still worth grabbing during this month of sales, or only for those collecting 'em all?

I think it's very different in tone compared to most other Scream titles but I think there's plenty to enjoy in it. Just my opinion though

I bought the Scream Factory Blu-Ray as a blind buy and so far it's the weakest of the Scream Factory Releases in my opinion.

Not saying don't buy it because everyone has different tastes but imo it is the worst of the Scream bunch so far. And this is coming from a huge Michael Caine fan.

Could some of you rate my October watching schedule? Keep in mind, these are films I have not seen:
-Alien/Aliens
-The Blair Witch Project 1&2
-C.H.U.D.
-Deranged
-Devil
-The Fly 1&2 (Cronenberg)
-1408
-Friday the 13th 5&8/Jason Goes to Hell/Freddy Vs. Jason
-In the Mouth of Madness
-The Lawnmower Man 1&2
-Motel Hell
-The Omen 1-3
-The Phantom of the Opera (1943, still have to finish it)
-The Pit and the Pendulum (Stuart Gordon)
-Suspiria
-Trapped Ashes (just for Joe Dante)
-Videodrome
-The Witches of Eastwick

I might have to drop a few because of time constraints, but this is pretty much it.

I've already watched Alien and Devil and liked them both. Alien was truly a great movie, while Devil was just stupid fun (better than the last two movies Shyamalan has directed).

My favorites out of the bunch that I would say get on right away are Suspiria, The 1st Omen, C.H.U.D, In the Mouth of Madness, and Croenberg's The Fly.

I would strongly advise you give Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 a miss. Same with the Lawnmower Man films, which are more sci-fi, IIRC(and not great).

I've wanted to check out Trapped Ashes on Netflix. Word-of-mouth wasn't great but an anthology with Cunningham and Dante's involvement intrigues me(the latter far more than the former).

For tonight, I'll have to choose between The Omen, Witches of Eastwick, and 1408... Tomorrow, I'll be able to add C.H.U.D. to the mix.

I just added Suspiria yesterday because of all the hype it was getting on the Synapse thread. That AND my love for 70s-80s Jessica Harper.
I've tried twice to contact her for an interview, but I got no responses.

I just want to finish off Dante's theatrical filmography. I'm pissed because Netflix and the library system don't have Piranha and Hollywood Boulevard. I might have to pick up the Roger Corman release of Piranha and a VHS of Hollywood Boulevard.

I want to give Blair Witch 2 a chance because of the episode of Good Bad Flicks on it... But yeah, I was thinking of mainly holding off on that one, The Omen sequels, and Friday the 13th 5 (just for the time being). I'll pick them up in January, as November is Catch Up Month. I'll be catching up on the leftover Rodriguez (not looking forward to Shorts and Spy Kids 4), Tarantino, Darabont, and Raimi. Maybe, I'll throw in a bit of Bigelow (Strange Days, K-19, Point Break) too.
