If Shout/Scream ever had a loyalty program I might be more inclined to order from them. Sorry those posters while nice aren't enough for me to pay a higher price.

Yeah I tend to agree. I buy a lot of their stuff but I end up waiting for sale prices elsewhere because I know it's inevitable. Although the posters do look nice!

Yeah if they had multiple slipcovers they might be more enticing.

Dear God. I hope you are right. I hope I wasn't right when I said whoever owned the rights was buried with Roddy McDowall.

Roddy McDowall was not buried.
After his death in 1998 his ashes were scattered in the Pacific Ocean.

Finally sat down and watched my "X-Ray"/"Schizoid" double feature. Somewhat of a let down from the previous double feature I bought, the one with "TerrorVision" and "The Video Dead." Lacking in special features as the other double feature was filled to the brim, but we can't blame "Scream" if there's nothing there to be had then we got what we could get which I suppose is better than nothing for two relatively obscure early 80's slashers.

Anyway, I thought "X-Ray" aka "Hospital Massacre" (the title I prefer) was a real let down, of course Barbi Benton aside who is very easy on the eyes and has a nice little nude scene which is a plus. Other than that I'd rank it very low on the 80's slasher totem pole.

"Schizoid" on the other hand was a lot better, the best of the two. Not only a better cast, but a much better story and it contains a fairly good twist I didn't see coming.

Wish they wouldn't fold the "bonus posters". They always arrive bent and damaged .

To make this month great from the point of view of announcements I would really like at least 2 big titles from Scream Factory and FRIGHT NIGHT PART 2 would be a fantastic choice.

The way its going I doubt we will see any new title announcements until later this month since they said they just have 2-3 anyway. I seriously doubt they will get Fright Night II anytime soon
And if Im wrong, Id be happy ! Id love a surprise announcement for a movie title...we are about due for one There is always a chance they could have more than a couple of new titles..
I do think they will announce something that will make a lot of us happy anyway...they probably arent done messing with the 1980s horror titles

So you are saying the rights to Fright Night II are in the Pacific Ocean? That will be a tough one to land.

Maybe this latest DTV sequel will help shed a spotlight on the original Fright Night II and make someone interested in releasing it. At the very least I'm hoping a few people will buy the new film thinking it's the 1988 film and complain loudly about it on the internet. Since the new film uses the same font as the '88 film that should help contribute to the confusion

Seriously, a Fright Night II announcement from Shout would be beyond awesome. It'll definitely help invigorate this thread for a change.
