The Masque of Red Death must look awesome on Blu Ray. It's the most visually striking Price film I've seen.

Is there Any chance of a release for "I Was a Teenage Werewolf" ?

Don't quote me on this, but I think that the rights owner wants some ridiculous amount for it. So, probably no.

No chance in hell these get released anytime soon. Its a matter of cost and dealing with her (hearsay mind you) .. This is subject to change one day Id think

I've never understood why someone would have the rights to something and not want to let anyone see it or make money off of it. Hopefully the rights pass to someone more reasonable someday

Drafthouse are up there with my favorite labels handling primarily new releases, alongside Oscilloscope, Cinema Guild, and Factory 25 (who sadly haven't done much with blu--but their DVD + LP sets have been very creative).

She's only 72, but I bet the situation is totally different by 2045 (or earlier).

Witchfinder General is superb. Personally I'd say it was the strongest film in the set, and indeed the best film Price ever did.

Also, it was a film Price was immensely proud of, and he saw great potential in director Michael Reeves, who tragically died aged 25. Very few directors will have made a more accomplished film than Witchfinder General by the age of 24.

You can read more on Price's thoughts on the film and Reeves here. They had a notoriously stormy relationship on set, but eventually Price saw that Reeves was simply trying to get the best out of him:

For those who haven't seen the Lamp aka the Outing, this is another movie Id love to see on blu ray format. This was a great low budget flick and the monster is really cool. Now I know why some people didn't want it on a budget DVD set. It's a good film

I got my copy yesterday and spot-checked this and Godsend - pretty abysmal PQ tbh but I'll take it. It's unlikely these will be reissued on Blu if better elements don't exist, which is apparently the case.

Well, the WWE is remaking it, so Lionsgate will probably put them out next year or so.

I watched it last night. Saw it bad in the VHS days and always liked it. Yes it's worth a blu-ray release, but looks like only a video master from the 80's is what's available.

When I first started watching it last night I was very disappointed because the first part of the movie with the robbers and the old lady is pretty much unwatchable, looks like the brightness was turned way up or something because the PQ/colors where very weird and bad looking. After that it looked much better.

I'm happy. People on Facebook are still trying to get Scream to release an idea of mine: Phantom of the Opera '89 and Dance Macabre.

By the way, I just ordered Halloween III from Amazon. That makes 4 releases.
