I've never seen the film either but I automatically buy any movie with the words "Cheerleaders" or "Slumber Party" in the title .

With all the discussion that goes on here about them, I'm sure we'll be seeing a Slumber Party Massacre 2&3 double feature by the beginning of 2015.

HA!!! The Roger Corman line is not yet dead!

I sure hope not. I'd like to see Not of This Earth, The Terror Within, The Evil, Twice Dead, Deathstalker 1-4 (1 & 2 at least), and possibly Deathsport and Battle Truck in HD.

Well, if Cliff's previous estimate of 48 titles is to be believed, we have officially heard a quarter of the titles for 2014. And still might hear another before the end of the month.

-Bad Dreams / Visiting Hours
-The Beast of Hollow Mountain / The Neanderthal Man
-Cat People
-Darkman
-Die, Monster, Die
-Nightbreed: The Cabal Cut
-Night of the Demons
-Nosferatu, the Vampyre
-The Slumber Party Massacre
-Witchboard

And still not one of those "That's not horror!!!" Titles... Except Darkman, a holdover.

The horror ones are a given. The rest? I'm not so sure. Unless of course Jim Wynorski begs them to put out Deathstalker 2 and/or Not of This Earth... With the news of Chopping Mall and The Lost Empire, it may happen.

I'm kinda surprised a blu-ray wasn't originally released for Not of This Earth considering StarCrash got one. With the double features they're putting out now I can't see why The Evil/Twice Dead can't be upgraded. The Terror Within isn't likely but you never know.

I seem to recall them saying Slumber Party Massacre was not in their plans, anyone else ?
After this announcement this begs the question - are those "not in their plans" just swerves or do you think at the time it legitimately wasn't. And if they are swerves who's to say that other titles they said are not in their plans are swerves as well ?

Yeah, I remember them shooting it down. That makes me wonder about other titles. I like very much that we're getting this but I hope they have a surprise title that isn't already in their DVD catalogue that they mention by the end of the month.

I have the Slumber trilogy DVD, but will gladly purchase the Blu. The first film is by far the best of the series anyway.

Damn. My package has been held at the same post office (halway across the state) for the last three days. It's not going anywhere before tomorrow at the earliest.

Thrilled to see "The Slumber Party Massacre" make the leap to Blu-ray. More 80s slashers, the better for my Blu-ray collection

love this company but I'd sure like to see more announcements on

a] "bigger" titles like CAT PEOPLE vs SLUMBER PARTY MASSCARE

b} more collector's editions with slip covers....

seems like after the PSYCHO sequels and PRINCE OF DARKNESS.... everything is going more B and C grade genre flicks....

btw.. I know there's DARKMAN and ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13 but those have already been released before so they do not interest me

They are awesome.

1) Amazing slasher
2) Musical/supernatual slasher
3) Creepy 'pyschological thriller'

And then there are the other sequels they don't count as "Slumberparty Massacre".

But I can't wait!

*****
my shameless plea:
Please get this EVERYONE, so we can get the extremely unique sequels on blu-ray also, and maybe even the spinoffs, Sorority House Massacre I/II, Cheerleader Massacre, and Hard to Die.

And Brain Dead, and the Slumber Party Massacre spinoffs.
