Code Red supposedly has it, yet to be released. I believe his brother Walter (Scorpion Releasing) even confirmed it.

Wrong Trick or Treats. Code Red has the 1982 film. The one they're talking about here is from '86.

Man, I saw the 1982 riffed and it still sucked. There was so little there that they ran out of things to talk about, other than why Paul Bartel, David Carradine, and Steve Railsback were in it.

Serious issue with improtcd's guys. I had just placed an order of 16 units, 4 of them shipped out yesterday but the other 12 I come to find out today were all cancelled for reasons I don't know why. The items that were cancelled were either pre-ordered items or items that showed in-stock within 5-10 days. I don't know what is up with this but I just sent them an e-mail. Same thing happened to me with my last order with deepdiscount, except I didn't realize that order got cancelled until after the releases came out. Actually many of these items placed in this new cancelled importcd's order were titles that were cancelled from that last Deepdiscount order. Just want to advise all the Importcd's shoppers here to keep a close eye on all their order status's.

Well assuming the rights reverted back to Universal then yes, they could!

And I really want them to!

However, if the rights are still with Anchor Bay, who originally released it on DVD, then we're screwed.

However, no ones ever answered me one way or the other as to who has the rights.

The Anchor Bay DVD has been OOP for a while, so I'm guessing the rights have reverted to Universal and the film just hasn't been reissued for whatever reason.

That's my thinking.

Despite having Friedkin's name on it, the film bombed so Universal is probably just sitting on it.

Hopefully Scream Factory can scoop it up in the future.

I never order in bulk from them..I only order things that come out on the same release date ( i.e. Stranger/Hitch-hiker) since they will be shipped together.
Just call them up and Im sure they will work it out with you.

Thanks Dsman, yeah I am going to adopt your method of keeping my orders smaller/simpler and with similar release dates(Like Nov. 19th...Maniac Cop 1 & 2, Night of the Comet, Assault on Precinct 13, and The Pom Pom Girls )

It has been a slow month for announcements of new titles...not just for scream but for across the board

Hopefully being Halloween next week we might get some surprise Horror title announcements.

I hope Scream can scoop that one up, loved that movie/paid way too much for the DVD. Same with Nightmares.

It may just be the time of the season.

I would guess that the stretch from Halloween to Christmas is pretty big in terms of sales with new horror titles followed by family titles for the holidays. So we are now seeing the benefits of titles announced a couple of months ago.

But anything announced now in late October probably wouldn't hit the shelves until after the new year. And that dead-of-winter period is traditionally a black hole for retail sales.

That's the only way I order from them when it comes to buying multiple titles from them - it needs to be the exact release date and also from the same studio. It worked will with my orders for Kino and Olive films' titles.

-X-Ray/Schizoid
-The Vampire Lovers
-From Beyond
-The Increible Melting Man

And that's just for BD.

Would make a fun double feature with MGM's After Midnight. I would gladly upgrade my DVDs.
