I saw a screening with a Q&A. In light of the comments made at it, I would definitely call it a Chiller film. They had the script pitched to them and asked Fessenden if he would direct, IIRC. They produced it. And so on.

It's an okay movie, I don't know if I'd ever watch it again. The fish was pretty naff, but fun.

Not that we know for sure they won't make another announcement tomorrow...
But If they can't announce one tomorrow, why announce Beneath today?
I'd rather have a Halloween announcement, than a pre-halloween announcement without one on Halloween. If that makes any sense. Lol.

You should definitely get the Twisted Terror Collection - "Eyes of A Stranger" and "Deadly Friend" are actually the rare uncut versions (even though the format is dvd). "Somebody's Watching Me" looks good and is an enjoyable little thrlller....

DVD is not an issue. I have seen and enjoyed the cheese that is Deadly Friend already. I'm more interested in Dr. Giggles and The Hand.

I'm not sure who has the rights these days, but I wouldn't mind seeing a Scream/Shout release of the Albert Pyun sci-fi B movie Nemesis (1992). The out of print dvd was released by Imperial Entertainment back in 1998.

They do have an announcement for tomorrow

"We have a nice treat for you tomorrow on Halloween: A new title announcement! It's retro, it's 80s and it will be coming to Blu-ray for the first time as a Collector's Edition. Check back tomorrow throughout our favorite holiday to find out what it is!"

Ladies and gentlemen - start your guesses !!!

I reckon Sleepaway Camp or Chopping Mall. Hoping for the former.

Sleepaway Camp , Society, Pumpkinhead , Fright Night II would all be welcome and are all good guessing... Im not sure what they mean by "retro" like dated 1980s movie ? Id made me think of all of the films Im guessing except for Pumpkinhead as that doesn't sound retro to me..

I don't think its Without Warning since there wasn't *never released before* slogan...

I don't think its Titan Find due to the word Retro

Beneath.

It has to be either Sleepaway Camp, or Fright Night 2. I don't think they would waste the 10/31 announcement date for some really obscure title...would they?

Chopping Mall
The Ninth Configuration
Society
Sleepaway Camp
Without Warning
Fright Night Part 2

And because I bought it today and with my dumb luck, The Fly II.

Unlikely it would happen, but I would love it if it was The Changeling (1980). That movie is long overdue for a Blu release, but I haven't even heard of any rumours on if or when a BD version will ever see the light of day....

Justin Beahm who has been working on some of the recent Scream Factory releases also just posted the following...
"Big announcement tomorrow! Slasher fans, brace yourselves..."
I assume that both posts are about the same thing so it looks like we can narrow this down to an 80's slasher movie.

Possibly next year. Warner is getting slightly better with their horror catalog.
