I assume that both posts are about the same thing so it looks like we can narrow this down to an 80's slasher movie.

Narrowing it down to:
Chopping Mall
Sleepaway Camp
Maximum Overdrive (substituting a single killer for machines)
Without Warning (alien instead of single killer)

Keeping my fingers crossed for Chopping Mall, its a really fun film. Never had much interest in Sleepaway Camp.

I've never seen Without Warning. So I'm not a fanboy.

Also, Alien is a slasher film. The xenomorph strategically kills of each of the cast members until only a final girl (Ripley) is left. It has a body count. Those are the basic slasher criteria. The same goes for Predator, the inspiration for Without Warning.

Sleepaway Camp 100%, with the rest of the series to follow later in 2014.
I'm already imagining CE artwork, and looking forward to the bloody knife through the sneaker.

Code Red owns the rights to Madman. They're DVD of it is pretty solid.

I always heard the PQ was all blu tinited and what not on the Code Red DVD and that the old Anchor Bay DVD was the better release. So I heard anyway.

I've owned both versions. The coloring is not tinted on the Code Red release. It trumps Anchor Bay's old release in every way (except for the cover art).
