I , along with others were reading some of the guesses and it amazes me that people would even guess Night of the Living Dead 1990, Exorcist III, Curtains, and titles owned by other distributors etc...
If these are horror fans, wouldnt they know who has what horror film - if not, where are they coming from ???
or maybe they have lives and don't read up on movie announcements (that wasnt meant to make us die hard fans sound bad or anything)

30 seconds of a 13 YEAR old chick with a dick doesn't make a good movie. As for the sequels there unwatchable so I'd take anything over those honestly

As for Madman from what I've read code red never actually owned the rights when they released it, no one was sure who did. And yes the anchor bay DVD is the best picture quality. Code red went crazy with the orange filter taking all the atmosphere out of the movie. Code red did have a great doc though.

Um... A fun film doesn't have to be a good one.

But that rule doesn't apply to Sleepaway Camp.
Its an unsettling film. Something's off about it from the beginning to the (shocking) ending. Most people in the horror community would call it a classic.

Popular opinion tends to speak for itself.

Um never said it did as you can tell by my collection. But there's nothing fun about it. Unsettling I'll give you, either way it's horrible movie in my opinion. Classic is a stretch lol a big one.

The same producer who licensed it to Anchor Bay licensed it to Code Red.

That could be like I said from what I read not what I wrote. Thanks for clearing it up though

Sleepaway Camp is one of the funniest movies ever. The way the kids talk to the other kids and adults in this movie is unbelievable. I have never seen a movie from that era that had such foul words spoken by kids.

The 2nd movie was pretty interesting as well.

The 3rd...unwatchable.

The 4th....UGH!

I like the first 2 though.

Speak for yourself. Sleepaway Camp II: Unhappy Campers is, for me, many times more enjoyable than the first, and one of the best camp* horror-films ever. That said, Part III is irredeemable. Which is surprising, considering that both were shot back-to-back with the same writers and crew.

* I mean camp as in "kitschy", not filmed at a camp.

Angela's cousin had a filthy mouth. I agree that him swearing and flipping the bird at everyone whether it be a peer or camp counselor was freaking hilarious. That kid is legendary in my opinion and possibly the best part of the whole movie. His swearing was better than most of the kills and almost as good as the big reveal at the end.

That's all I ever do thus why I said my opinion lol. I'm not one of these folk on here that think everyone should share my thoughts on every issue, I'm glad you and others enjoy them. That being said I still think they blow and would much rather they reveal almost anything else.

I'm not the biggest fan of "Sleepawy Camp" i much prefer the 2nd but i'd certainly take it. "Madman" or "Hell Night" would be killer. Someone mentioned "Cheerleader Camp" which would be great, love that movie. I'm still hoping its "fright Night part 2" though

I think we all subconsciously want it to be Fright Night Part 2.

You know I am surprised Scream has not been able to get the rights to any return of the living dead movies. Those are the perfect cult favorites to fit in their listing.

2-5 are WB and Lionsgate, so no gos.
1 they don't want. They know they cannot top the Second Sight release. Cliff has said so.

I'm going to call BS on your statement regarding the picture quality of the Anchor Bay release (I see you were already corrected on your statement regarding the rights by Walter from Scorpion).

You honestly think a non-anamorphic release is better than Code Red's release? Also, do you have any evidence that an orange filter was applied to the print? Knowing how Code Red handles their transfers, I highly doubt anything was changed or altered from the print they used.

I believe consensus is, it's the other way around - Code Red's transfer shows the movie as is, whereas Anchor Bay's transfer and possible earlier video transfers had the added blue filters. The discussion has been whether it looked blue like the AB in the theaters or not.

Sleepaway Camp would be awesome, maybe even a boxset w/the sequels included. Pipe dreams would be Shocker, People Under The Stairs and a release date for Night Breed: Cabal Cut, but i doubt it
