OT question but have there been any rumblings about a 40th Anniversary edition of Hooper's Texas Chain Saw Massacre? I need to pick up the blu ray but if there's a new edition coming out, I'd rather hold off (plus the blu is OOP now correct?).

So, for those of you who have ordered from Scream directly, how is their shipping? Am I liable to get a scuffed up, dinged product?
I guess I was looking at ordering direct or through GoHastings as far as slipcover chances. Wondered what experiences others might've had. Any? |

Only got The Burning through gohastings, but the slipcover was in real good condition.

As far as Scream, I ordered stuff during their Halloween sale and got a three different shipping packages. One in a crappy paddle envelope, one in cardboard self sealing style ones, and one in a silver unprotected bag. The only slip that came in decent condition with a minor flaw was the one in the self sealing brown envelope. Hastings is even worse as everything that I bought from them came in a silver bag sliding around. |

For now, I've placed an order with my local brick-and-mortar Hastings; we'll see what condition the movies arrive in. Most of the one's on the shelves look pretty good, so maybe... Thanks for the input, guys. * As a side note, I did talk to a Scream CS Rep, and they said that they distribution center is entirely separate from their online store/customer service department. There's no way to 'upgrade' your shipping preferences even if you wanted to. They said they'd be more than happy to help if I received my order with a problem, but that's not very reassuring. If you're only willing to try and fix problems after they happen, not only are you going to lose money, you'll probably lose customers as well. ![]() |
