I want to apologize for the stir I caused. The truth is , I really did see a comment, and I thought the comment was on Screams page but it is not. I am very very sorry for whatever ruckus that I caused

Please do not get all worked up and we really should just wait until Scream is ready to announce something. I only wanted to share what I saw, like how people copy and paste posts from FB all the time. It all means nothing until Scream Factory actually announces something.

If and only if and when Scream announces a title, then every rumor, every post from someone who claims they have a title is not a fact until then. Nothing is confirmed until they announce the title.

The only reason I mentioned it because I did see it in the public forum. Sometimes I forget how eager we are to know what they have and I let my own enthusiasm get the best of me. I probably shouldn't have mentioned it but I wasnt thinking too clearly. I never said the title because that to me is crossing the line and I never will for the same exact reason, but if any of you are on Facebook and read comments as disgustingly often as I do , there was something that was shared that should not have been there. And if others saw it we could have just speculated just for fun, to talk about possibilities since I know members here would love to talk about any title that they might or might not have
Anyway the end result of all this is, I wound up pissing off someone that I never meant to...which was unsettling. It would probably hurt more if my own real personal life wasnt a living hell right now.
I am going to reiterate the hell that I have gone through, so you will understand why I need distractions and things in life that are supposed to be fun ..
Im the guy who lost his mother to cancer last year and whose wife is going under the knife a SECOND TIME to have breast cancer removed - thank God it is treatable. So you tell me, when cancer has been and still is a real part of your life, who would not need escapism or a special place to find some kind of enjoyment in a world that has be cruel to you. And it also makes you realize what's important and what isn't. Human life is, a rumored movie title is not.

And the main reason I do the forums or take part in anything movie related is because it completely distracts my mind of all the horrors, the REAL horrors that I experienced and still am today. So if I lose myself or turn myself into a total movie geek , now you know why. It's really funny because I think of myself as a movie geek but Im totally indifferent about them slip covers.....(there is a joke in there)
Im considering becoming even more an introvert than I already am because of this. I was humbled just a few minutes ago and it felt like a punch in the stomach.
So yes while, I do love using the internet and web search for all my hearts desires, I am not a troll, I am not a news reporter, and all I meant to do was for others to just see what I did read and take it for what it's worth. I will never reveal a title that is rumored or what someone says to be true. I would not mislead anyone because I would not want to be misled by anyone.
So I hope all parties will accept my apology

I'm very sorry to hear of the personal turmoil that you and your family are going through. That said, why is your earlier post a big deal? Do you work for Shout or Scream or Blu-ray.com in a paid capacity? Does discussing a post (removed or otherwise) from a Facebook page make you or this forum libel in some way? I could be wrong, but it would seem that that is exactly what this forum is for. In fact, I'm sure of it. By far two of the strangest posts in this entire thread are the one you made about the deleted fb post where you made a big point about not revealing the title and this last one where you apologize to acknowledging the thing you saw but refused to share. I don't know who dressed you down or why, but as a Scream Factory fan and a long time reader of this site and this thread in particular, it seems way shittier that you didn't just tell us all what you read before it was removed. If SF or one of their employees leaked something prematurely, then that is news and this is where we all share that. I'm surprised no one else read the same thing and posted it here yet. That's completely normal behavior.

If that were to be released it would seem more likely that Scorpion would release it since they seem to have a deal with New Concorde now. If another slasher is indeed on the way from Scream Factory, my money is on "Fade to Black" or "Hell Night".

I dont work for Shout or any movie related company though I wish I did. Even though I did find where I read the comment this whole thing is really unfortunate. The comment was not removed and was in another Facebook page, not Scream Factory's. I only wanted to share what I read because it would have been fun to talk about whether or not the comment he posted was accurate. The person who did comment sounded like he knew what he was talking about , but the truth is nothing is 100% firm until Scream says so. I did upset someone who has something to do with title announcements and I never meant to.
Damn drama , think Ill stick my head in a hole before going to the hospital today. I just come here for fun and enjoyment and all I feel is guilt sheesh.
Someone care to explain why movie title announcements have to be so secretive like some military or political activity ?

They already shot down Fade to Black on whatever podcast a few weeks ago. Pretty much stopped caring about any other "future announcement" after hearing that...

me, personally, if i was in charge....if a movie is first pressed with a slip, it should forever be with a slip. now, for instance...i know scream 4 initially came with a slip at the retail price, but i bought it at wal mart for 7 bucks without the slip, so it doesnt bother me that much.

if you pay 20 bucks for a movie that originally had a slip, it should still come with a slip no matter when you buy it, release date or 20 years after, unless the price is somewhat lowered.

I know I am tempted to buy it at that price. I am not a huge fan of the film, don't get me wrong I enjoy it but it wasn't a necessary purchase for me. But I think I will still pass considering that amount of cash I have been dropping on other titles recently.

Understandable...you are paying the same price but getting less product so yeah. I guess you could look at it as a promotional thing too though so who knows. But yes ideally it would be nice if the slips were consistent. I only care about the Scream Factory slips really though because they feature different artwork then on the actual blu's case art(well can feature different artwork). If the slip has the same art as the blu...I am kind of like "not that important".

Ugh. They need to stop pumping out lame slasher films and focus on better horror movies. I know it's all about whatever films they can get the rights for, but this is ridiculous.

I'd rather every title was a slasher film and they didn't release any so called 'better' horror movies. At the moment I'd say Scream have it pretty much spot on with what they are releasing. Just enough slashers and 'better' horror movies. What makes you say it's ridiculous? They only have 4 coming by my count out of the next 15 or so releases.
