Darn, these are not the tittles I'm hoping for. Looks like another pass for me. Oh well, at least I still have Night of the Comet to look forward to next week.

Love them both. I adore Ginger Snaps. Dog Soldiers is really good. Ginger Snaps is fantastic, imo. Its one of my favorites actually, don't see why it gets all the hate.

Yet Another film on blu-ray without the sequels. But I don't think those are owned by the same company?

Nope. Lionsgate. I wish you luck in your pursuit.

If Lionsgate cares this little about their catalog, why don't they just give a bunch of horror titles to a budget label? Mill Creek could do what they do for Sony and crack out multiple double features...
Silent Night Deadly Night 4&5
Waxwork 1&2
Ginger Snaps 2&3
Class of 1999 1&2

Even more so... Why hasn't somebody petitioned them for releases of one that everybody wants? We should start a petition for a SE BD of Waxwork or something.

up until I saw these posts, it doesn't. I've read countless comments on how much people love this film...I remember FANGORIA magazine raving about it... but I didn't care for it at all....

Count me in the crowd you hasn't seen Dog Soldiers but thought Ginger Snaps was pretty lame all the way around, I guess it has it's fans though like others have mentioned but I see quite a few posts here of members that aren't to keen on it either.

Good stuff from Scream with these announcements. I didn't know Scream was even in the business of releasing titles this recent, but I will gladly take them. Dog Soldiers and Ginger Snaps are two of the better werewolf movies ever made. I liked the Ginger Snaps sequel as well but did not care for the prequel third movie. Now we just need a decent presentation of Bad Moon and Silver Bullet on blu-ray.

I thought the film was something of a cult favorite? Curious to know why people dislike it.
I agree, and Dog Soldiers was directed by Neil Marshall who also directed my absolute favorite horror movie of the 2000's The Descent.

Oh no, not a good sign for me then if Dog Soldiers was made by the same guy who made The Descent....The Descent was utter pooh to me. Sorry, no disrespect that you like it(as well as a lot of others) but just my opinion.

Can't say I'm overly excited about either title...not really a werewolf guy so thats part of it. Also isn't there a Blu of Dog Soldiers already? To me it's a waste when Shout does titles that already have Blu-rays. Special features are nice but you listen or watch them once and thats it.

So far I'm rather meh about 2014 titles...saves me money I guess. Congrats to fans of these though, hope they sell well.

Yeah I am kind of in the same boat as you, Scream's 2014 titles haven't appealed to me too much so far. Other companies such as Synapse and Raro's announcements have been pleasing me far more. EXCEPT for Sleepaway Camp of course.

Wow you didn't like The Descent? You should give it another look man, but I respect your opinion.

I'd say Assault and Comet as well. I didn't even know what Eve of Destruction was... I had to look it up, lol.

I know everyone loves The Descent...I just found the girls annoying and could care less what happened to them. I was just like would they just get killed already after a little while. I guess that was my biggest problem with it, I didn't feel for any of the characters.

It's got to be better than my DVD, though I only hope that Scream can add English subtitles. It's kinda strange, but some of the accents were so thick it was a little hard to understand sometimes.
Yeah, English subtitles might be especially beneficial, even for those that wouldn't typically need them, thanks to the thick (Scottish?) accents.

The existing Dog Soldiers Blu-Ray left a lot to be desired in all facets. The film was shot on 16 mm, so expectations need be set accordingly, but Shout! shouldn't have any issues besting the previous Blu-Ray.

Edit: See this post from Blu-21 and the caps-a-holic link for a screen comparison between the US Blu-Ray and the UK DVD.

In fact the Blu sometimes looks even worse then the DVD, take a look here.

If you know the proper uses of the apostrophe, you'll already have your answer. That's assuming the apostrophe was used correctly, of course, LOL...

Only Halloween 6: The Producer's Cut is a slight option. The regular version of 6 and 7 are not going to happen.
