Now, that's a flick I'd love to see Scream tackle.

Except that it's a New Line film, which means that it's owned by Warner Bros, which means there's zero chance of Scream Factory ever releasing it.

This is slightly connected to Scream Factory- one of my favourite releases from sf is "The Nest" i've always loved the movie and to have it in HD and with a commentary is awesome for me.Over the years i've picked up what i can for the film,old vhs, novel etc but i recently came across this promo for the UK vhs release




Can't imagine there are too many of these left.

What's the deal lately with the new releases being out of stock before release date?

Amazon and Deep Discount have gone to "backorder" before release date hit... which seems weird... for both Body Bags and Night of the Comet.

If I'm not mistaken.

It was early New Line, though, so I'm not sure the same holds true for their pre-'Nightmare on Elm Street' stuff.

The Alone in the Dark VHS was by Columbia and the DVD was Image. To my knowledge, Warner Bros. has never released the flick.

Image also still has another early New Line flick, Quiet Cool...



Alone in the Dark may have reverted to Warner Bros. at some point, but I've seen no concrete indication that it has.

I just picked up NIGHT OF THE COMET and I've just discovered some cool trivia of special note for us Canadians.

In Canada, there's a science show called DAILY PLANET on The Discovery Channel and it often has experiments and demonstrations conducted by science nerd Alan Nursall. He is Catherine Mary Stewart's brother!
