I'm guessing that because they made the point of stating thats its "never been on dvd or blu ray before" they intend to put it out on both formats in a combo pack,though thats just me surmising. Hope this is blu ray though.

Fans of Canadian 80's horror and animal attack films are in for a treat next Summer as we will be releasing 1983's rat infested DEADLY EYES--which has never been on DVD or Blu-ray before.
The film stars Scatman Crothers (The Shining), Canadian Scream Queens Lesleh Donaldson (Curtains, Funeral Home) and Lisa Langlois (Happy Birthday to Me, The Nest) and if you've seen it, you know what a guilty pleasure it is.
More details on the release will become more clear in early Spring next year.
Golden Harvest? I wonder if this was picked up along with the Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee films. I'm not familiar with this film, but I do love me some 80's Canadian horror.

If your Releasing RAT movies "Of Unknown Origin" would make an excellent Scream Title!
To be completely honest, I'm not sad to see the 4-packs go. For starters, I want to purchase Blu-rays whenever possible. And I know many of these movies were just never properly stored/handled so I never realistically expect the PQ on everything to be pristine. But if something can't be cleaned up enough for high-def I prefer not to have a compromised release. TV edits, non-OAR, censorship - big no-no's for me. It was a cool concept, but I feel in the end these leave a lot to be desired.

I wasn't familiar with the film until I watched a trailer for it as part of a long 1980's Horror Trailer compilation on youtube and it looked right up my alley. Oo, a good little creepy Canadian staple of cable in the 80's, for those whose Quirky Peter Weller collections are incomplete.
(And a surprisingly effective bit part by Louis "Exploding head" Del Grande, as an exterminator with a few too many 'Nam issues.)
